Winning IS everything for Carlton….

There may be a need to get an exorcist involved and purge this loser demon from some Carlton ‘fans’. It may be a curse contracted from a Richmond or god forbid a St Kilda associate. Whilst I expect these demons to down swinging those infected have something very heretical to the Carlton ethos.
Comments I have seen by Carlton fans after belting Essendon are these;
‘they wouldn’t do any damage to anyone of note’, Carlton keep another club out of the finals and get another invaluable seasoning finals experience in the resume’,
‘would not get a “home game” ….. so no real dollars going into the coffers.’ F@ck the money its about death or glory,
not some pissy accounting procedure
‘Carlton making the finals this year?….. pfft … who cares.’ Any fan who does not want to have the experience of fans whose teams are perennial also rans. I don’t give a crap for losses or being outclassed player or coach wise. I followed the Blues through the 70’, 80’s and 90’s with the expectation of success and experienced it as well. Now times have changed and the self inflicted rot has set in. I support them ever more when the chips are down.
Footyhead has been travelling a lot in the past weeks. While following his only AFL team loyally has not been able to get in front of the camera each week.
Ratten has ALWAYS been open in the media that if he is not getting results as coach he is replaceable. He said it at the end of 2011 and several times previously.
“sack Ratten because he is a dud camp” are nothing more than a pack of fair weather fans in my book. He took on the job nobody wanted. Got some moderate results with a Proud Club that was destroyed by the previous administration and management. The vehemence of the Sack Ratten camp is what has me irritated not that he should be replaced.
I Support Carlton and hope like hell they keep winning and fluke it onto the finals and keep winning long enough to shaft Collingwood for the third time in a season, hopefully in a grand final. Then I will happily set up a stall selling bungee cords to Pies fans to make a leap of faith off the West Gate bridge after the game.
Go You Blues
