Footyhead’s Carlton 2013 season preview…

I am satisfied with the midfield and even the attacking options with goal kicking possibilities in the playing list. I am concerned with the coach’s penchant for not altering his ‘team season plan’ once it is set in motion. This is from his beginnings at the Filth, although Carlton do have a better list at the comparable time. of his tenure.
Defence is not an issue with my anticipation of the coming season. Mick has always been noted for his ‘defence in a game plan’ Way back in the origins of the West Coast Eagles premiership era. The game has evolved a lot since then especially with the players mostly from the same template and if any coach has a winning way in developing a strong defence from what is currently in the playing list at Carlton, Mick Malthouse is one.
I am overall not concerned with the individual players on call. The marshalling of the resources and dealing with injury, suspensions etc are all in the domain of the coach. The 2013 season will see the Blues come out of the blocks in some games but it is the loss of winning momentum and stringing 3 or more wins in a row that is needed. GO YOU BLUES!
