DJ got the nomination for the ansett rising star this round, becoming the second essendon player to receive one this year after aaron henneman

he was very good on sunday, clearly beat a more experienced opponent and wasnt bought undone during some intence pressure situations
his composure was brilliant and so was his skills

has been compared to james hird in many ways, and while that is a very tough tag to put on the kid i think he will be a valuable player for us in the years to come

can play forward and kick goals, give us run through the midfield or as he showed this week he can play on a key position forward and give us plenty of drive into attack

yep excellent work Danny. Thought he played a vital role in a tough game- and just to add to walshy's comments- i think Jacobs is also capable of taking those screamer marks we all love to see.

:)

The rising star seems very interesting this year, alot more wide open than previous years with so many good young players a chance to win it.

Congratulations to Jacobs, he played a great game as shown by his score in fantasy footy, which is just as well, seeing I have Mercs, Misiti, Alessio & Heffernan in my fantasy team as well.
Maybe I jinxed them when I chose them in my side.

:D:D:D

Danny has been labelled a 'poor man's James Hird'!! Now that's got to be a hard call on James....LOL :D

Danny will be a very good player in his own right and did a great job when put on the moron. By the way, did anyone hear Schwartz on the radio the other day? She seems to think that he was victimised by umpire Andrew Coates! As he was the umpire that reported him and gave two 50 metre penalties against him. Heard that he is going to cop a little fine for the indiscretion....LOL :D Twerp!
