Friday Night, February 27th Melbourne v West Coast at Telstra Dome 7.40pm.
What could be better than Friday night footy, seeing the young stars and sinking a few beers in the locker room??? CFH, get the night off work :D

This is good news for us, hopefully the team can also win this one to give our membership drive a bit of a leg up
The one thing we failed to win yesterday is respect. A pre-season win over North in Canberra, hasn't changed the perception of the club all that much. We haven't been given much credit & most of the discussion has centred on how poor the Roos were. Maybe they're right, time will tell. I thought we showed some promising signs, but we did that in last season's Wiz Cup opener too. We have a long way to go & getting a crack at the red hot West Coast provides us with a chance to start the long trek back. We'll have to play better to beat West Coast. They fell away last season but showed plenty at times last season, a real class outfit.
You'd hope the club really push the memberships this week & ensure that the staff are well prepared to handle all of the requests during the week & especially at Telstra on Friday. It's an important time for us now & if we play it right on & off the field, things will continue to turn in our favour.
We need a good performance against West Coast, otherwise we'll have wasted a great opportunity to capitalise on our promising start.
Can't wait to get the DeeDome on Friday! ;)

Should be a good match, especially in the midfield where both teams have lots of talent and options. West Coast would start the favourite but after an encouraging win and playing at home, Melbourne is definately a chance. We were written off against the Roos, so we will see how we go on the night.

Was a beaut thrashing the "Colliwobbles" on the weekend, but it would be nice to see our guys tested a bit more this week, which im sure it will.
Always a test for us when we travel over there, no matter who the opposition is, but it would do our confidence no harm to get an early win in the East.
No injuries for us this week after the game, just wondering how your boys came up after there run.

Jolly (Broken Nose) Brown (Concussion) Both should miss. Hopefully Read will replace Dogga.
You guys were great at the WACA & are huge favourites for this game, we're a real chance @ The Dome though. We rarely lose there. Neeta will be Goal hungry after drawing a blank against North.

Read will be foaming from the mouth and chomping at the bit at the thought of having a crack at us ;)

The wind shouldn't be a problem for Neitz.
Will Jamar be back? I'd like to see White played up forward for most of the match and with Jamar in, it will give him the chance. Chuck in Neitz, White, Robertson, Green, Vardy, Miller, Davey and Bruce...what a forward line!

Hope Russian plays. Whitey looked good up forward (admittedly on the undersized Colbert) before looking even better in the ruck after Jol went off. Would rather see him & Vardy used sparingly until round 1. There's a semi-final spot at stake so I guess we have to for it. Would've liked to have seen Neeta thrown into the ruck last week as he struggled up forward, it would've spelled Whitey & gave him to 50 to himself. Neeta has ample strength to handle the short run-up centre bounces, where the leap is less important.
Cox & McDougall will be a good test for our rucks whoever they may be.
Green will play in defence again & Bruce in midfield.
I hope you guys fill it, Dees fans need to learn to accept the Dome.

Yep its gonna be awesome an awesome 54,000 seat stadium, with about 50,000 emptuy seats, the atmosphere's gonna be electric.
I thought demon supporters hated Telstra Dome anyway, personally i think its the best place to watch footy in the land.

North aren't in a much better state. Especially after losing in front of 3000 people at their second home.

:p
That was a terrible move I reckon. Taking away 'North Melbourne' loses their identity and their tradition and leaving their name just as an animal isn't very credible.
