Hey,

Have just moved up to the city, looking to go to Saturday's game (against my better wishes, I hate Optus Oval), problem is, I don't drive, and I usually get a lift there.

Have been told it's pretty easy to get there via tram, so if anyone could give me some advice as to which tram to catch from say, Melbourne Central, it would be much appreciated.....providing I end up there rather than Williamstown! :P

Many thanks

Cammo

The Carlton Football Club tram runs straight up Elizabeth Street, but you'll need to confirm with the driver before boarding as I'm unsure the number and one turns off towards the west (i think).

Sorry bit vague but that's the best I can do. Maybe someone else will help later.

If trams scare you, you could take the train option.

From Flinders Street take the Upfield Line and get off at Jewell station. Walk out of the station and turn left and left again and you're at the KFC on Sydney Rd which is right next to Optus and just turn right and walk straight...that Optus. Maybe look in a Melways...it's a lot easier than i've explained it

tram # 19 in Elizabeth St goes all the way up Royal Parade stops outside Optus. The earlier the better. The closer you get to game time the busier it gets!
