SEN 1116 has secured the Melbourne radio rights to the Athens Olympic Games
I gather it's the Melbourne "commercial" radio rights.The ABC will probably also cover it.
I suppose we can now expect AW management to come out and say " the Olympics don't rate on radio".

SEN must have a lot of money behind it. Last time i looked they had about a 2% market share of the Melbourne radio listeners, yet they have a lot of big names working for them.

You need to consider though the ratings of its predecessor 3AK. AK was achieving worse ratings than nearly every station polled b efore it changed hands and SEN in the first ratings was nearly DOUBLE what AK were getting.

You're comparing apples with oranges there.
The old 3AK listeners are a totally different demographic to the new SEN.

They're only aiming at a small percentage of the total population, but their advertisers would certainly know the type of people who would be listening. Therefore they should have no trouble selling advertising, especially during the Olympics.
