I have been watching his show on Fox8 the last few weeks and the guy is crazy!

He stands on a concrete block 10 stories high for 35 hours with no food, water, sleep or anything to lean on. Then to get down he jumps off and lands on boxes. The pillar is 105 feet high and just inches wide.

He then freezes himself in a block of ice for 61 hours, 40 minutes and 15 seconds. Without food, very little water and sleep. He cant lie down or touch the ice surrounding him because of frostbite.

Then he buried himself in a 6 feet plexiglass tank filled with 400 pounds of water for 7 days. No food and only 4 teaspoons of water a day. Anyone could go and see him as he was buried in the sidewalk for all to see.

Then carrying only diapers, a journal, some pens, lip balm, a pillow and a pad to lie on he traps himself in a 7ft x 7ft x 3ft seethrough box hanging by a crane 450 feet above the River Thames in London. He stays there for 44 days and 44 nights, with no food, one tube for water and another for urinating.

Now all that is cool and pretty freaking amazing....but his up close and personal street magic is insane. Ive seen some magicians leviate and they hardly get off the ground but if anybody hasnt seen David Blaine levitate then I just pity you. With no heavy stage lights, mist and distracting assistants, he just levitates off the ground....extremely high! Right on the streets! He is awesome.

Not to mention all the other stuff he does. Once I saw him ask two guys to think of a card, he then stared at them and guessed both of them!! Ive seen him go up to a random girl on the streets and he tells her to go away and write the name of a person dear to her on a piece of paper then fold it up so he cant see it. She gives him the folded paper, he lights it on fire and then with the ashes he rubs them all over his shirt, then lifts his shirt to see the name of the person she was thinking of written on his stomach??

His sleight of hand card tricks are insane not to mention biting coins in half and then spitting the bitten half out of his mouth to reconnect the coin, pulling string he just swallowed out of his stomach, pushing cigarettes through a coin etc etc...

Amazing! If you can get a hold of any of his specials I advise to watch them. He is truly amazing.

yeah i've been watching too. he's incredible. i don't think he has a great presence though, but his "magic" is amazing, especially when he takes no part in the trick, when he gets the public to unveil the trick themselves.

i really like Paul Zenon. i think he's the same guy that did this mind over matter show, where he was at a dog track, and with a losing ticket, could get the girl to pay out as if it was a winning ticket. it was freaky. sorta like obi wan kenobi in star wars, controlling someone's mind.

i would really love to learn more about powers of the mind, i reckon it's a fascinating area.

The man is amazing, probably one of my favourite magicians and this is a must watch television show for me. The amount of practise and effort this man must put into his craft would be painstakingly large, I do 'magic' as a bit of a hobby and cannot believe how well he pulls off the tricks.

The burnt paper into message written in ash freaked me out a little bit, never seen anything like that before. The reaction of the young lady who wrote down the name of a close friend who'd left was priceless, she was almost in tears.

Ive seen Zenon too, he is impressive but I think Blaine is the best of the best. I think he will go down as one of the greatest magicians of all time, right up there with Houdini. His levitation is something you need to see to believe. Absolutely incredible.

He is an absolute genius with a deck of cards and his sleight of hand is unrivalled. In one trick I watched him take off a girls watch while he was doing a trick. She had no idea.

Yeah, magic doesn't usually do it for me, but this guy is a freak. Just a shame he doesn't really have the personality to promote himself a bit better.

I'm a bit skeptical on the ice block one, but the card tricks and levitation are incredible.

bit lacking there. re the levitation. i don't think we can make a judgement based on a tv show. if we saw him on the street and he did it, then yeah, i'd be freaked out.

i agree that he needs to work on his personality. so combine blaine's skills with zenon's personality and you have one magnificent performer.

Zenon was cool, I saw the thing your talking about and it was impressive. I felt pretty bad for the poor lady who kept paying out all that money on losing tickets.

Blaine is by far and away the most impressive though. His street magic was amazing!

Yeah, I've seen how how the ice one is done and it does nothing for me now. Great magician though and love his card tricks and levitation.

Yeah those Secrets of Magic Revealed shows can sometimes seem purely aimed at showing how Blaine does his tricks.

Even when you see how the Ice trick was done, it is still a fair effort of endurance and patience.
