Richmond captain Wayne Campbell will lead a 26-man Tiger squad to Queensland for Saturday night's practice match against the Brisbane Lions.
Campbell makes his return to the Tigers' line-up after missing the team's two Wizard Cup games due to a minor calf complaint. He also was sidelined for the last seven games of the 2003 season after snapping his achilles tendon in the Round 15 clash with Geelong at Telstra Dome.
Joel Bowden will play his first pre-season match in the Yellow and Black this year following a groin injury that restricted his training program over summer.
Shane Tuck, son of Hawthorn legend and AFL games record-holder, Michael, will make his debut for Richmond in Saturday night's trial game at Coorparoo.
The 22-year-old, who was Richmond's 6th pick in last year's National Draft, was a standout for the Club's VFL affiliate, the Coburg Tigers, in a practice match against the Bendigo Bombers at Moorabbin last Friday evening.
"Shane was really impressive," said Richmond's Football Operations Manager Greg Hutchison.
"He played at centre half-back, then went into the midfield and had a huge last quarter there. It was a very promising performance by him . . ."
The other addition to the Tiger squad that took on St Kilda in the Wizard Cup quarter-final last Sunday, is former Adelaide ruckman Ben Marsh, who also impressed for the Coburg Tigers in their trial game last Friday.
"We've picked our best possible squad for this match up there against the reigning premiers," Hutchison said.
"We just have to make sure that we perform as well as we possibly can . . . that we're really competitive, and get ourselves back on track again.
"The players are well aware that they put up a performance last weekend that's unacceptable from everyone's point of view.
"They need to bounce back and work really hard at it again . . ."
