FTA channels rebroadcast via Foxtel digital

Are they being rebroadcast in standard or high definition?


Also, does anyone here know when, or if, the other channels are going to be rebroadcast in the future? (Particularly the ABC, as they're being rebroadcast via cable, but not satellite.)

My guess is SD. At the moment, they're only rebroadcasting the digital transmissions of ABC, SBS and 9, as far as I know. Still negotiating with 7 and 10, so it's just the analogue rebroadcast of those. A shame though, it means I still have to have both the fox digital (whenever the hell they'd like to come and install it!) and my digital TV STB hooked up

I'm amazed at the picture quality difference between the Foxtel/digital channels, and the analogue transmissions of 7 & 10. I've never taken too much notice of that sort of stuff. Noted the difference once I started using DVD's instead of videos etc, but for every day stuff, the new quality is fantastic! If 7 & 10 don't decide to rentransmit through foxtel, they could at least give permission for the program guide to be transmitted. The planner function is fantastic.

I had a show on tonight I wanted to watch, put it in the planner yesterday morning, and by tonight I had totally forgotten about till the reminder came on the screen!
