Went to the game last night. Looks to be an exciting time with some new blood really impressing. Fewster 6 goals. Down by a goal at 3/4 time, ran 'em ragged in the last. What did the others think? I was to be quite honest expecting maybe a bit more from Souths.......anyone?

I went too - had a great time, drive down to Freo, fish, chips & beer by the harbour, walk to the ground in balmy late summer weather and a win for the Mighty Falcons. We did extraordinarily well when you consider how many Premiership players we've lost.
I was expecting more from South too, though it was very close for 3 quarters. They will improve if Capuano can hold up in the ruck and Dimmer will be really good for them as a coach (Northey made them a 6 goal worse side and they have acquired good players).
Also, with the heat, it probably wasn't a fair reflection of how the season will go. Our experienced players proved to be a little better than theirs and our youngsters ran it out well.
All in all, I think both sides will give the top 4 a shake.
