Intersting to see some bookies paying $16 for an eagles premiership, $16 for a cousins brownlow and $16 for a matera coleman medal
So where would you put $100?
I'm inclined to put just $10 on the premiership and $90 on benny, its his year me thinks. Matera has no chance.
I'd save my money, neither will happen this year.
Cousins is an excellent chance for the brownlow this year, so I would say that is the most likely. If Matera was ever going to be a serious Coleman chance it would probably have been last year if he could have strung 22 games together, and most people don't really see us as being in the premiership window just yet.
Incidentally, last year I think Cousins was a single straight kick (by Brauny) away from a Brownlow- in the drawn match against Geelong, Cousins failed to poll a vote despite basically single handedly dragging us back into the game in the last quarter- Wojcinski took out the three iirc- Given that the winning team usually polls more votes, had Brauny kicked that last minute shot on goal and won the game for us, then personally I would have thought it was pretty likely that Cuz would have polled votes in that game- and had he done so, he would have walked away with the gong.

agree with all points mead u seed. If i was spending $100 though, id feel bad not putting $10 on the flag, although i know its a bad bet.
metera (or any forward) will never win a coleman till he goes to drama class
Out of the three I would have to say that Cuz bringing home Charlie would be the most likely. But im not a betting man so I wont waste my money on any bets this year.

How much would you like to bet on you not getting a single Brownlow vote this year.
If Cousins stays injury free for 20 games this year the Brownlow will be his. Premiership next year. Matera won't ever win a Coleman Medal.

IT IS A BIG ASK FOR A DIMINUTIVE FORWARD POCKET TO WIN A COLEMAN, NO MATTER HOW GOOD HE IS SO THIS IS NOT A FAIR COMPARISON.

chill out dude, were just saying he wont win, we're not saying hes crap, hes good, he just wont kick the most goals.
I think its pretty comlimentary of the bookies to say that he's as good as cousins.

Cousins brownlow.
Matera won't win the coleman in his career, simply because he's a small forward.
Premiers 2005.
