I'm not sure I'd be overly enthused to see him come back from a ligament strain only missing 1 week.
Then again, I am not a doctor.

Not too sure about having Matty come back early.
It is a long season, and we need him fit and firing the the duration, not just the upcoming game.
So I would prefer to err on the side of caution, and have him wait till he is 100% right.

He looked pretty confident of playing when interviewed on TV tonight, but he did say he wouldn't play if the doctors said it was a risk. Personally I think he should wait until the following week against Sydney. They said today that he's a definite for that game. You'd have to feel for Brogan though if he ends up back in the SANFL this week. Mark Williams brought up the possibility of using all three ruckmen.
Matty ability to recover from injury very quickley is amazing. He's gone from missing 4-6 weeks to missing maybe only 1. Actuallly he is the only player I can think of who has had a knee reconstruction and has come back a better player after the operation than he was before he did his knee and especially considering he had to carry the rucks in his 1st year back because Ladey broke his leg.
After saying all that though, I still wouldn't risk him this week. Out of our next 2 away games we must win at least one if not both. If we could win against Hawthorn that would be a bonus but the Sydney game is the winable one out of the next 2 so I would give Matty another weeks rest and bring him back against Sydney.
