DAMN !
whats a broken hand gonna keep him out for ? 1-2 months?
Considering Welsh's hand is in plaster he would be an unlikely starter. As would Welman and Bullen who are still underdone.

As long as Fletch solly and mj are in we should look much better down back.
Who's gonna take gehrig/riewoldt
fletch and scotty lucas?
thank god the saints dont have a great ruck set up...i think allan and hille can come up even.
still missing quickness around the forward line with haynes and cupido out...

Although id like to see Watson get a gig across the half back line this week thier can be no experimenting we have to win. And to do that we need to hold thier forward "prime movers"
I'd say personally Wellmen on Hamill
Lucas on Reiwoldt
Fletcher on Gehrig
McVeigh on Milne.
B: Mark McVeigh Dustin Fletcher Shaun Wellmen
HB: Welsh/Solomon Scott Lucas Adam Mcphee
C: Mark Alvey Jobe Watson Justin Murphey
HF: James Hird David Hille Adam Ramanuaskas
F: Mark Mercuri Mathew Lloyd Mark Johnson
Foll: Mathew Allen Jason Johnson Welsh/Solomon
Int: Mark Bolton Joe Misiti Andrew Reynolds
Watson likely to miss with leg (thigh) injury.
My original side has now been edited after hearing of injuries to Welsh and Watson

If Cupido's knee isn't sore i'd play him. Lloyd desperately needs support in the F50.
Maybe Solly in a forward pocket in his first game back would be handy, he's good in the air and on the ground, and it might cause them to fumble a bit more...
Also hopefully we do a better job of opening the forward line up for Lloyd, i'm sick of seeing him go up against 3 defenders.

I also like Bozza's line up. Agree with every position. Good job!

I would bring in Mercuri for Winderlich. He is not ready and playing him will only errode his confidence.
He is too damn slight of frame, got brushed off the ball too often last week. Needs another pre-season in the gym.

They're saying he'll only miss the saints game which I'm dirty on because he gave Milne a bath last year.

I'd like to see Mercuri in the team this week aswell, if Watson is available my in's and out would be as follows.
In- Fletcher, Soloman, McVeigh, M.Johnson, Mercuri, Alvey
Out- Welsh (inj) Stanton, Winderlich, Lovett-Murray, Richards, Bradley (nowhere near ready for senior footy)
We need a crumbing forward and with Cupido out Rioli or Mercuri need to go forward and find some goals.

Named side:
B: M.Johnson, Fletcher, McVeigh
HB: Ramanauskas, Lucas, Mercuri
C: Solomon, J.Johnson, McPhee
HF: Rioli, Bolton, Murphy
F: Bullen, Lloyd, Henneman
R: Allan, Hird, Peverill
Inter: Hille, Misiti, Reynolds, Winderlich
Emer: Dyson, Alvey, Richards
Very surprised to see Henneman over Alvey.
Sheeds, you lament all week about how slow your midfield is, then you leave Alvey out of the side?

That defense sure looks a whole lot more solid. I hate the idea of Bolton as CHF though, he just doesn't have the strength to contest properly, much better suited to a flank - i actually wouldn't mind Henno there, he did alright vs Bris last year when played forward.

Actually, i'd much prefer to see bolton out on his ass.
CHF and last week he produced 4 disposals for 3 free's against.
He has to be the worst player in the league, and he is in our spine.
What a joke.
And don't tell me how fit he is. If all he does is chase the ball around the park without actually getting his hands on it, who cares? A CHF should be racking up way over 10 disposals a game.
