well dee fans, what a fizzer that was with joe not tearing the board apart until the end of the year. as a saints supporter i was quite enjoying all the theatrics of the ego maniac joe rattling the cages of the conservative fogeys on the board. at least we'll get to see it again when the on field footy has finished. :D

i know a collective sigh of relief has been had by all dee fans over joes announcement that he won't run until the end of the year but unfortunately for you lot the anguish will return by the end of the week. four straight losses will put a serious dent in your premiership dream, perhaps even end it.

the key to this game will be the ability of neitz kicking goals, if he gets 5 or 6 your lot will probably win, if he doesn't which on current form looks likely, then it's the mighty saints who will break through for a much needed win. whilst the melbourne midfield looks strong with white, woey, chell etc, our forward line looks good this week with the addition of hall, to compliment loewe, hamill and milne. for melbourne to win scwarta and neitz must take advantage of our lack of talls in defence. if our midfielders of everitt, thommo, burke and harvey get on top it's win no.3 for us.

i think a good way for all you joe supporters to get behind his ticket would be to all wear fake beards and red and blue yamaka's to the game. this would make a terrific spectacle and erase the conservative image of a melbourne supporter. if you think this is a rediculous idea just turn up in your usual brown trousers with a tweed jacket. ;)

In fact most of our members are like me, just a few that fit your bill!!!

I am really worried about this game!! It will be real close I think...A toss of the coin. I will be there cheering the guys on!!
and then racing home to see the Storm play the Cowboys....

I totally agree with you about some of our supporters being racists......even before Joe came on the scene....I have heard it before......(mind you some also in the red seat area too)!!

Dees 01 you may know want to start believing me that Joe has had contend with racial villification, not by just the board, but unfortunately some of our supporters.......one being a young man in a Melb. jumper who went out of his way to scream at Joe after the game...I wonder if Dees Rule was referring to this particular guy........it was near the Cheer Squad.

I feel sorry for Joe or any one who is racially abused....I copped it when I was small.....we migrated here..

i was actually talking about a Saints supporter (mind you most of the Jews in Melbourne support the Saints.... i would know i go to a Jewish school) who said to us that if we weren't girls he'd smash us coz i was talking back to him and told him to F*#% off and that he should be banned from the footy for life.... that didnt happen but they did get him on camera and the police was hovering around us!
anyways that kinda destroyed the first half of the game for me and my friends but i paid him back when the final siren blew.... i was just laughing away greasing him off and god it felt good! also i was so happy when they showed Joe on the big screen especially since he didnt say a thing coz just than we got a goal! LOL

Ms.Storm any melbourne supporter who is racist should have his membership taken away or at least get a good belting from me! :D

Yeah I also heard about the Saint supporter too, but the one I was referring to was well after the game had finished, he was a Melb. supporter (only still a teenager (late teens) who came out of his way to abuse joe and it was bad.....everyone tried to ignore him first and it caused a lot of animosity......Joe was real good, he just copped it on the chin.......if it was me, I would yell back..........it must be hard for him........as I said before, I copped heaps when I migrated out here......so my sympathies are with anyone who is villified in any form whatsoever.
