Over the weekend, Ten were running promos on how Sunday nights were changing 'seriously'.
The ad went something like 'Lord of the Rings - seen it; Harry Potter - seen it; Sunday Nights are Changing on Ten'.
It seems that Ten may be dropping the traditional Sunday night movie.
I guess with pay TV and DVDs, the chances someone hasn't seen a movie they want to see before it gets to free to air are less and less.
From personal experience, unless it's a telemovie, I haven't seen a Hollywood Sunday night movie in a while.
It will be interesting to see what Ten put on (let's hope it's Footballers Wives!) and how it rates.
It's certainly a risk - but one worth taking.
What's the bet they put on some crappy reality TV show that is doomed before it's birth... Oh wait, that would be Channel 7.
Maybe time for some quality English crime drama, like Cracker and it's ilk.

I wonder if it'll be something to do with Big Brother.
Hopefully it will be something better than them putting true lies and american pie on every two weeks.
And I might add it turns out they are putting on the Godfather sometime next week.

Godfather? Who hasn't seen that?
Give them a break, it's only been out for 32 years.
i guess it must be now 'digitally remastered'.

Courier Mail reports that from May, Ten will have Big Brother at 7.30.
At 8.30 will be one of the Law and Order franchise (no idea whether it is the original, SVU or Crim Intent).
9.30 will be another crime series yet to be announced.

And there's nothing wrong with Simpsons and Seinfeld re-runs. Channel 10 should f*cking pick up Futurama.
Channel Ten will still find a way to delay the Formula One telecast until some time after 11PM.

I wonder if the 9.30pm show is NCIS.which is a spin-off from JAG.Ch10 were flogging that up until about a month ago.
Ch10 ran L&O C.I on a sunday last year.It was against the Logies.
I like the idea.

i would say 99% that it will be NCIS.
it may, however, be a show called 'the handler'.
The Handler is an FBI drama where Joe Renato is an operative responsible for training agents and sending them undercover in LA.
it looks good, so it'll be interesting to see what they put on.
my view is that they would be better having ROVE LIVE on at 8:30pm on sunday nights. but then again, it doesn't rate through the roof so maybe not.

I'd prefer the Friday movie Romantic Comedy night to the new channel 10 crime night! Some previously good romantic comedies on telly in the past few weeks; Sleepless In Seattle and Something Like You! We just need Only You and Roman Holiday played on Friday night, to make it one superb night! :)
Anyways the friday night movie normally goes for this genre of movies, whereas the Saturday night movie tends to be a 1980s action/thriller movie and Sunday is the new release night. So the new channel 10 "crime night" would be a shock to the system.
I'm just waiting for someone to pick up and play the classic Disney animation movies; Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan and Beauty And The Beast, not to mention An American Tail. They have not yet had the broadcast on commercial television, like the "new" animated movies; Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Antz and Balto. :)

I agree, that 'crime night' is a load of $h!t, they should put on a premiere movie instead.
But with Foxtel, who watches those 'premier' movies, we've already seen them about 10 times on Showtime! :D
e.g Someone Like You, I saw that about 5 times on Showtime, but, it was the only decent thing on Free TV, so I had to watch it :D
