From the west today, sharks and Bulldogs want to take control of the struggling Dockers from the Commission.
They are reported to have major support from the freo business community to take over the club.
Comments from the commission was they want to wait till the Crawford report into WA footy comes out in few weeks time.
What do dockers supporters think about this idea, giving football back to the people.

Hope you don't mind me commenting. On ABC talkback this morning they spoke to the South Fremantle President about the bid, and he said it wasn't a takeover bid as that would cost 20million dollars or more, which the two Fremantle clubs couldn't afford, but they would like to help manage the club with positios on the board or something, to give more of a Freo feel to the club. I reckon its a great idea. It is one thing that Freo could have that the Eagles can't, the great century old tradition of Freo. The Eagles were formed for all of WA, thats why they are Perth Eagles, but Freo should use its title Freo to its advantage and focus itsel on Freo. This idea by Souths and East Freo is a good one.

I agree eagleskickass, how can Fremantle say they are 100% Fremantle run when they are governed by the WAFC

THis is a great idea. As long as they are careful not to alienate Freo supporters who dont follow SF or EF and members get a say in the running of the club.

Lets hope it comes off.

Isn't it funny how the WAFC want to wait for another report!!

I also agree, more involvement from the real freo footy community can only be good for the dockers club.
