If that GUTLESS group of pathetic shrinking violets had taken their opportunities in front of goal the game would have been over at 3/4 time. How much progress have we made **** ALL !!!!
Because we do not have anyone who can make a statement on the ground. Its the players who should be abused. with the exception of the obvious few the dont give a **** about that club they play without heart.

and that is exactly why it's the coaches fault. Teams cannot play on their own they need direction that's WHY we have coaches. That team shows all the hallmarks of a team that isn't being coached properly.

Agree that Rohde isn't on the field dropping marks, missing goals, kicking short and stupid etc.

He cant kick the ****ing ball for them.
Drop Rawlings, DROP COONEY. That would be a start. I can't believe we lost to Richmond, they are nothing and are going nowhere, just like us.

So what? somehow we just managed to get 42 (or so, including the 9 new players) of the worst players in the country? Get off it.

We need to have a good loohk at the recruiting officer as well as the coach.
They have all failed and the results prove it!

Have we got the worst 42 (it's actually 40) players or simply the worst coach?

I was counting last years list as well which would make it 49. Also that's kinda the point I was trying to make.:)

I dont want to waste my time getting into an emotional slinging match with you.
But I would like to point out that when you hold a ball and kick it in perfect conditions at AFL level within scoring distance under bugger all presure you should kick a goal 7 out of ten times.
A coach cannot kick the ****ing BAll for those duds.

But the problem has been there for at least 2 years. It is very rare we kick well.
it is obvious the remedies to rectify the problem are not working. that is a coaching problem as much as it is the personnel, if not more.

The problem is a lack of talent as well.
Consistent innaccuracy is a lack of skill in one of the most important aspects of football - passing accurately to a team mate and kicking goals.
The coach stuffs up with his poor match ups , poor decisions during the game and just a lack of general leadership and inspiration.
The whole football department needs a complete overhaul.
Tough , courageous decisions need to be made.
The coach can't get anything through and a number of players don't care.
We are in trouble!

this week at training instead of team mates standing there hurling abuse as they kick for goal to simulate a pressure situation why not try this.
Give them all four shots at goal and for each one they miss they get a quarter of their head shaved, that will sort out those pretty boys. hit'em where it hurts, that's real pressure.

Outcoached by Danny Frawley....kind of says it all really!!!!
Apart from the obvious move of Rawlings onto Richardson which was never made, what about the move in the 3rd Q of using Darce as a loose man in defence and Harrison in the ruck on Ottens.
Explain that coaching staff.
Unfortunately our poor conversion will again mask the pathetic performance in the coaches box.

The biggest test for Rohde is how he responds. If he continues with his policy of leaving experienced players out there no matter how much they stuff up while leaving promising youngsters on the bench for three quarters, then he deserves to get the arse.
I certainly blame Rohde for not being hard enough on the players. I don't see the sense in leaving Cooney, Faulkner, and McGuiness on the bench half the day when the Eagle, Smith, and Hahn are giving their best possible rendition of a Benny Hill skit on the field. It doesn't matter who it is, if they stuff up that badly, they need to be disciplined.
This week, as long as there are some Werribee players giving it a go, I wouldn't object to seeing any of Croft, Boyd, Harrison, Basset, or Hargrave being dropped. I will go nuts if it's one of the young players who spent most of the day warming the pine. At least Faulkner and Cooney had a go in the last quarter.
Eagle should start next week on the bench. I don't care if he managed 25 possessions. His disposal was terrible and his decision making was costly. The number of times he put other players under pressure either by giving up and over handpasses or taking to long to release the ball...
And Rohde should never hesitate to bench an experienced player, whether it's Rawlings, Smith, or Grant, if they're doing the wrong thing.
Next week, I'd suggest:
In:
Cross
Koops
Skipper
Out:
Boyd
Croft
Harrison
And play the youngsters until they are stuffed!

disagree about boyd.
i thought the reason for the croft recall was in case richo got out of control. Should have played skipper if we were looking for another forward. the future is all we have to look forward to.
Boyd was one of the better players in the first half why drop him?
Croft and Hargrave were out of position.
Rohde wasn't out coached by Frawley. It was a nil all draw or in the neagtives to Rohde. Frawley wasn't the reason why Richmond won. They will be spitting at him soon and Richo has had his 2 good gaems for the year it will be back to dumby spitting for him
When you play well for 3 quarters without putting the score on the board you will lose. Richmond were bound to play 10 minutes of good footy and they put the score on the board.

he tried hard but was thrashed by Brown.
He was too slow to react to a sly fox like Brown. He might have got plenty of the ball but playing on Brown you are likely to get your fair share of ball as Brown is not the most defensive player. But Brown hurt him and us at the crucial moments.

A coach cannot kick the ****ing BAll for those duds. The wind was swirling and definitely affected the flight of the ball. The Bulldogs outplayed Richmond in general play but just couldn't finish their work.
A lot of what's been said on page 1 here is pretty harsh on both clubs. Richmond just beat Sydney in Sydney and the Bulldogs play an exciting style which should end up reaping rewards (eg Kangaroos game).
For mine Scott West was B.O.G. even though Richo kicked 10, and Bowden has really come on since I last saw him.
Good luck for the rest of the year.
Ching - the spitting was by 2 idiots and all Richmond fans were outraged.

It was sooooooo disappointing today. Listening to the game on 774 it sounded as if the Bulldogs gave up in the last quarter as we hardly rated a mention. Was this the case?
Something is not right with the players/coaching staff etc. bad kicking has cost us a lot of games in the past two years. The game is called FOOTBALL surely it's about time the players learnt how to kick it.

Enjoy it while it lasts...the thing is when Richo has ONE bad week, you lot are the first ones to bag him. Take your trolling over to the Richmond board and dont bag the posters on here..they are not related to Danny Frawley. :)

Amuses me at no end to see all these Tigers come out of the woodwork and onto our board after a few victories.

I don't think this would have much effect on Eagleton, would it?
