rioli may not be out, and if he was i'd bring in alvey, watson or richards before winderlich
good looking team though, and hope hunt gets another go, and alvey comes in for rioli and possibly even for bullen if rioli doesn't miss

Would bring in Teddy but we've got so many forward targets that he'd just spend the whole day on the bench.

If Rioli is ok then Dyson for Hird.

Winderlich for Hird, and if Rioli misses bring in Alvey.

I'd much prefer Dyson over Winderlich, however the Bear has earnt a game surely.

IN: Richards. Dyson

Looks like Rioli will play. Have kept Hunt and Licha in, and taken Bullen out - desperately needs a full game in the 2s.

I'll go for something different.

It seems Rioli will be fit to play.

So for me:

Out - Hird, Bullen
In: Hunt, Nash.

My reasoning being that Hunt has been in solid form for a few games and that given that this is likely to be his and Henneman's last year unless they can stamp themselves on senior footy, it would be good to see him in the seniors again. He's certainly done more to deserve a senior place than Henno had in the first few rounds.

Nash - was one of the few Bendigo players to really use the ball well, and got it 18 times. And he did more than say Dyson or Stanton did. He's been solid for the season as well.

Those that miss out:

Winders - he played quite well I thought, a definate step up after a slow start to the year. Let him back the performance up though, before he comes into consideration.

Richards - he always pushes himself into contention, always plays well in the twos. But he tends to get in Lloyds way in the seniors and not do much. I'd basically like to see Hunt again, that's probably why I'm not selecting him.

Alvey - got a bit of the ball but wasn't that good really. He just needs time to fully get over the knee I feel.

I have to say i think Sheedy will bring Bradley in, Geelongs forward line is not its strength he has been one of our top VFL players this year and it would do him good to give him some game time playing in a key defensive post with back up against not that great an opposition with a big croud around... my personal thoughts... he also from the way he has played can go forward at a pinch to really stretch thier defence...

watching Hunt in the VFL on the weekend, I simply cannot understand why Henneman seems to be ahead in the pecking order. To me he looks hungry and hard at it. Plus he is quick and a massive kick....Sheedy, next time you want to bring in a tall defender....get Sam Hunt....not Henneman.

Liked Winderlich's game too, good awareness and spun out of a few takles pretty nicely....he looks so small tho, evn at VFL level.
Dyson didnt do too much so I wouldnt bring him in, Alvey......well yeah he got a lot of it....wasnt incredibly damaging, he'll get there soon though, has improved since the first time I watched him this year.
I would like to see Jobe in this week. I rekn he needs to be exposed to the pace of AFL level footy more than he is cos once he accomplishes this....we are going to see some fantastic results.

so, if Rioli doesn't get up:

IN: Hunt, Watson

and possibly Stanton

OUT: Hird , Rioli

and possibly Bullen

any good info on sam hunt.
I know Sheeds was talking him up as our next fullback but he seems to have been always injured the last two years.
what are his strengths and will he make it.

On Hunt - http://www.essendonfc.com.au/team/player.asp?id=58
might help.

He might be worth a punt this week, but I'd rather see Jobe or Richards in for Hird, and Alvey in for Bullen.

Not bad logic there whirl, can see merit in the possible selection of Nash.

Lloyd says 31 in his latest column.

The kid can find the ball, no question.

And just on what i noticed via the Wiz and his game against port he has great evasive skillz for one so tall... keeps his hands free to get away clutch handballs as well... looks a quality player so long as he improves his disposal by foot which appeared to be a little lacking?

In. Richards(please), Watson
Out. Hird, Bullen

Teddy has to come in. There is no point getting in the best players for bendigo week in week out if he's not going to be picked in the senior team. Give the poor bloke ago. Watson just keeps racking up possetions and deserves another go.

Bully needs a full game in the VFL as i said last week. Cupido is also very lucky not to lose his spot. Not impressed at all with him last week.

Cupes and NLM suffered from 'too many goalkickers syndrome' last week.

Everybody was having shots, and the dedicated goalkickers took a stats hit from it.

Agree that Cupes wasn't great, but can't say he's lucky to keep his spot. The guy's only just come back into the seniors, and to drop him would be madness.

I don't think it would be madness to drop cupes. His form in the VFL didn't warrant selection for the Adelaide game anyway. So i consider him lucky to be in the senior team at the moment.
