and Fat Cat ( I missed him when he went! I cried at his "funeral" which involved just a tombstone saying R.I.P. )
Primary school:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Power Rangers
Animaniacs
The looney tunes little ones...the blue bunny?
Pinky and the Brain
Rugrats
The Simpsons
what can I say? I loved so many! :)

:( Oh it did. The tombstone just said; "RIP". And it was put near the channel 7 studios. :(
And it forced us to watch the non speaking brown bear called Humphrey! Fat Cat had better ratings, more than the bear could EVER dream of.
Oh Fatty Catty, we miss you. :(

TMNT, Thomas the Tank Engine, et al.
MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE.........SOOTY
I still laugh at that show. Best kids show ever.
Also loved ninja turtles, thomas the tank engine....
geez bringing back memories, remember ducktales? smurfs? Always hated that power ranger crap. Agro was a dude.
Its just not the same anymore.

Yep, Fat Cat. I loved him. Apparently I was pretty upset when he was taken off air, but I don't remember that. I do remember watching it though!
I also loved Rainbow Brite, Punky Brewster and the Smurfs, as well as most stuff on Agro. (bring back Agro!)
I liked Captain Planet, Rugrats and the Ferals, but I don't remember how old I was when those shows were on. Somewhere along the line I vaguely remember liking TMNT too.
Didn't like Humphrey (Fat Cat kicks his ass!) or Power Rangers.
Can anyone help me with this show: it was on the ABC, maybe early to mid 90s, and it involved a wizard and these gremlin-fairytale creatures. They lived in a rotunda sorta thing in a garden. It wasn't animated, but more similar to something like the Ferals (although IIRC the puppets weren't so obvious). I've tried describing this to people, but nobody ever knows what I'm talking about...:(

Degrassi Junior High

Double Dare (but not the ugly bastard child Family Double Dare)
Caught Punky Brewster again last year when it was on at like 3am. Seemed so innocent when I was a kid, but it is a little bit dodgy that some old bloke takes home a young girl who gets lost in a supermarket.

ABC kicked ass back then(Goodies,Dr Who,Ulysses 31, City of Gold, Star Blazers, original Astroboy, Kimba the white lion) what went wrong
Doctor Who. **** the rest.
Well except for Voltron (the Lions, not that crappy vehicle one), Astroboy, Infinity Limited, Ulysses 31, Star Blazers, Robotech, The A Team, Knightrider, Manimal, MacGuyver, Transformers, the Goodies, He Man, Cities of Gold (well, any ABC cartoon on the ABC come 5 or 5:30, and the 5 minute ones after like Dangermouse and Trapdoor) and Tripods.

Didn't anyone watch Sooty?

Loved Sooty and Sweep, but Sue was a bit of a drag. Matthew Corbett and his dad were so bad they were good. My kids had a Sooty video that they played over and over again and I realised how bad it was.
Also Rin Tin Tin, Champion the Wonder Horse, Fury, My Friend Flicka, The Lone Ranger, Boots and Saddles, Rifleman, Lawman, Laramie (did we only have westerns in the early days?), I Love Lucy, The Flintstones and Huckleberry Hound (both shown in prime time), The Man from U.N.C.L.E, Get Smart, Gilligan, etc, etc. Did I do any homework? What do you think.

BomberGal, I think you're talking about Puddle Lane. I always remember it cos I would call it 'the show with the gazebo'.
Prized Bitch, the one with the lady and the tea leaves was called 'T-Bag' or something, I think
All my fave shows as a kid have already been mentioned, I think. Did anyone say Press Gang, Super Ted, Tin Tin? Ok, so the list just keeps going on. lol
My sisters and I once talked about this topic when some of our fave shows went off the air. We wanted to create a TV channel that would only show all our fave kids shows. I still think it's a good idea. :)
Has 'It's a knockout' been mentioned? I used to get up at 6:00 am just to watch this show.

No I think some of the shows I watched go way back before your time.
Ilya of course, had a poster of him with this cross bow thingy that was mounted on his arm. He was very cool, have you noticed him in that new NCIS show on earlier tonight.
Napolean was just so suave and sophisticated and the real lady killer. But he (Robert Vaughn) was very cool in The Magnificent Seven.

Great thread.
Born in 1985...these were my favourite kids shows.
Sooty - Loved that little dude. Along with Sweep and Sue (can you believe I remember their names?) I can even remember in about 1989/1990 going to see Sooty the live show, when they toured Melbourne. It had that Matthew bloke who was the English bloke that was their "owners". I was about 4 and I vaguely remember it being about something to do with going to space!
Inspector Gadget - I remember being 3 or 4 years old and getting up at 5am to watch my tapes of Inspector Gadget. Go Gadget Go!!!
Thomas the Tank Engine - This rates highly for me. Great show it was. I was obsessed.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Come on, find me a kid from my generation who wasn't in love with this show. It had everything! Every kid loved it. The only argument was about who was the best Turtle. I was a Raphael man myself.
Humphrey B. Bear- When that music hit at 9:00am I was glued. Used to love Humphrey.
Play School - This was great. The Rocket Clock > You ;)
Lift Off- Wackadoo!
Also was a closet Care Bears lover ;)
Ahh sweet childhood memories...
