Many thanks , Id have to say Cats V Dons game lived up to the hype. A loss for you guys after winning 6 straight and when the nomally dead eye Lloyd kicks 2.4 and normally 50:50 Kingsley has a 7.0 night is not such a bad loss.Plenty of upside left in your side.

Yup - well done Cats!
I just think we may have come into this game a little complacent after 6 straight wins, which resulted in a sluggish start by us which produced only 1.0 to 5.2 in the first 20 minutes - if we had of matched it in the first 20 minutes, perhaps the result would have been different ... but enough of the hypotheticals!
Geelong had a lot more to play for too last night, with Scarlett and Harley's 100th and just on the search for genuine respect while we were just bubbling along.
We missed Hirdy's leadership when we needed that goal or two to level the scores in the last quarter, but the signs are he'll be returning this week.
Congratulations on your win! And perhaps we'll be seeing each other in September...
Yeah congrats. Can't really complain about umpiring etc. There were no stand out mistakes by the umpires. The better side won on the day.
Side note. What do you guys think of the mooney love tap to MJ's side early in the match? The video replay picked it up, There's no power in his punch , but with the tribunal this year anything could happen. Also how the hell did Mcphee end up with that black eye? Tv never showed it.

Great game!
Great to see us win.

The video showed the action, but not the result. There is no way to tell if he made contact, if it was a clenched fist, etc.
Very surprised if it goes up.
Any idea who gave McPhee his black eye?

My guess is Mooney, but it could have happened quite innocently. There seemed to be no bad blood after the game between Mooney and any Essendon players.
Well played, just too good on the night. Hopefully we'll get the chance to even the score later in the year.
Good luck for the rest of the season.
