Haynes is actually quite a good long penetrating kick, it's just that he rushes a little too often.

In terms of fundamentals, he's a better kick than most on the list.

Agreed, he does seem to rush his kicks, often resulting in poor disposal.

I was really refering to his shots on goal.
The hawthorn game was pretty bad, as was Saturday night.

He's been a good addition up forward but still plays on too often, which means he has to rush kicks.

Regarding Haynes playing on: Gardiner seems to be able to do it and mostly uses the ball extremely well. Haynes... yeah, I think he rushes it. He needs to learn to slow down a fraction. Obviously when Gardiner and Haynes play in that "leading forward" position they're under instructions to get the ball into the forward line as quickly as possible. I would prefer to see Haynes play from the pocket but it might cause some congestion with Kingsley. Gardiner plays the leading role from half-forward very well and actually creates space for Graham and Kingsley to lead into.
