View Full Version : Did you know every goal Richo kicks costs us $6846.47?

By my rough estimates, if Richo has averaged a salary of $300,000 for 11 years, and has kicked 482 goals, each goal he kicks costs the club....
$6,846.47 !!!!!!!
Is he really worth it?
Roach and Bartlet were from a different era, so can't be compared, but I can assure you Lloyds goals don't cost that much.
If we were on performance based contracts, Bowden would have earnt his first pay packet in four years on Saturday :)
A friend of mine suggested that pay be based on where you come in the clubs best and fairest votes, it's an interesting but incomplete idea.

Only because he actually kicks a lot of goals. Otherwise Richo's figure may look quite small.:D

Do a quick calculation figuring out what each kick Gaspar has had this year has cost us.
Another frightening one, what each successful Danny Frawley coaching decision has cost us.

LOL.. thats an easy one.. NIL
Hasn't been a successful coaching desicion made.
Now drekker, that is a bit mischievous doing a cost/benefit analysis without including any of the benefits!

:D I am still looking for the benefits!!!!!
Just think how broke we will be if Richo keeps getting bags of 10?
$68,464!!!!
As for Gaspars cost per kick, he averages 7 kicks per game, and has earnt as much as Richo or more, so he costs us:
$1948.06 per kick!
I hope people stop passing the ball to him, at that cost, he will send us broke!

That's mathematically incorrect.....
Cost/Decision = (Cost of Frawley's time at Richmond)/Zero (successful coaching decisions)
= infinity ;)

Did you borrow this from Mark Williams finals formula?

Thought so. Worked a treat for you so far in september.

Hmm Id have to know what he's earnt, but your calculations can be either zero or infinity..
If he's on 267,985/0 the answer is zero in my book.. as there is nothing to divide.. equaling nothing. once he makes a decision (maybe to leave) then we have some figures we can get a real calculation with.
But Im no mathematician so Im probably way off, but i can also see the other possibilty of infinity too.
P.s. I dont really wanna bag Danny, he's had enough unfair treatment..
Brittain is in my sights, just to ensure he aint there, along with Danny next year.

i would also like to inform you budding mathematicians that with each goal richo kicks a year the less his goals will actually cost us!! also with Richo you should also include marks and kicks into his stats because he isnt just a fullforward.
as for gaspar LOL @ gaspar he is laughing all the way to the bank

I would just like to state for the record I didn't say a word about Richo.. 7 games out of 10 he is worth every cent.
Gaspar.. hmm yeah nah hmm, nah!
Leave it out. There are a lot of players at RFC you should pick on before Richo.
He won the game off his own boot in Sydney. And that's one interstate game no-one expected us to win.
Give credit where its due.

Danny Frawley is consting us INFINITY $$ per year????
No wonder we are budgeting a loss this year, maybe Casey should raise the figure a little.

Add to that the Foot-a-scray game, and along with Browny the Collingwood game.
(dont worry bout the hawks game, Frankston Rovers under 13's would beat them)
Go Richo.

Richo DID win us 2 games, true.
Onto the cost of Frawley per coaching decision, does anyone else remember him 2 years ago saying that performance based contracts were the way of the future, and that to kick things off and encourage the players to take them up, he himself would put himself on a performance contract?
It shows how daft he can be. Not one player I know of took up the challenge (a big clue they didn't think they were going to play well for the next few years(, and i don't think Frawley has earn't a cent since! The team stopped winning the week after he signed the new contract and has won about 5 times since.
Think how much debt we would be in if he were a winning coach and had to pay him something!

I have done some research on the Frawley cost/benefit analysis, given that we couldn't decide if when you divide his salary by his good coaching decisions, if the resulting cost was Infinity or Zero.
My answer is:
Actually infinity is probably the answer. In physics, a result of infinity means you have stuffed up and have to go back to the drawing board
Sounds like our situation!!!

just worked it out if we need him to kick 10 goals a game to win the next 15 games (12 home and away and 3 finals) the cost of the premiership this year is $1,026,960. Donations anyone?someone should get the checkbook out then and lets buy our way to the flag.
If you are counting the cost of Richo, you should also count the additional memberships he pulls through the door. Suggest the marketing value alone justifies his existence before he even kicks the ball.
As to Frawley, five years of wasted time and Mr Nissan is to blame.
What was it, Walls, Giesch, Frawley - now there's a track record to be proud of.

I prefer Daphne to Casey - at least he barracked for Richmond!
LMAOO@This thread.
LMAOOO@not being able to come up with any answers so we
have to resort to math to explain our dismal existence.
