In response to the DVFL Second Division Result Lalor 53.32.350 vs Watsonia 0.0.0 game on the weekend. What is the worst flogging that you have seen in the paper, playing for and against or watched ? :)

The Australian Record for Senior Grade Football.

Campbells Creek 100.34.634 - Primrose 3.0.18
Maryborough-Castlemaine Football League (VIC) in 1990.

From my personal involvement in a one sided match (one that I have witnessed live)

Burnie Dockers 35.28.238 - Hobart 0.1.1
Attendance: 404 at North Hobart Oval.
TFL Statewide League (TAS) on June 8th 1997.

I'm a Hobart supporter, we cheered that point for a whole two quarters:D

This score always amazes me. A side was able to score 134 times in a match, and yet they still conceded 3 goals down the other end. It's hard to imagine the ball ever got past centre.

Another Zimbo-style mauling from the pages of the Hun

Doveton Eagles-47.17
Brooklyn-6.4

19 of Lalors majors came from the white-hot boot of Aaron James, seeing hes already had a 15 this season he must be around 50(maybe even 60) majors for the first 7 games.

Centrals have the record for suffering the biggest defeat in sanfl history. Glenelg thumped them by around 40 odd goals

I'm sure uncle steve could give the score.

I also heard that highlights of this have just or will be on simply footy, last or this weekend

The biggest win I have been in was playing U/19's in 2000. We beat De La Salle by 45 goals. They only scored a rushed behind. :p

49.23.317 to 11.13.79 in 1975, isn't it?

Brooklyn would be the worst side playing in the Melbourne Metro area.

No it was a quick snap from outside 40m:D as a result of a free kick from memory - it was at the scoreboard end, when Burnie led 18.12.120 - 0.0.0:o just before half time.

Another match I remember involving Burnie was, in 1996 at West Park. We drove through one hell of a thunderstorm which last for about 14 hours to get to our accomodation in Devonport for the night.
I had business to attend to in Devonport the next morning, then we drove along to West Park.
To say the ground was a disgrace was an understatement, I got there at quarter time in the Ressies, Hobart had kicked one goal for the quarter in a hailstorm.
Throughout the next 7 quarters of football Hobart never scored a goal at all:(
It was so windy, the goal posts swayed that much that they touched each other at the tops a few times.

In the Seniors, Hobart scored the first 0.5.5 of the match (4 of them rushed) and never went forward again for the next 3 Quarters and 20 minutes :o

Wasn't a great weekend that one :o

I think Glenorchy will have a good crack at a big score this weekend against the "Mighty" Robins at KGV :D

Sound be fun to see....

That's correct, 23/8/1975. A mate of mine played for Central District that day, he described the game as a barrel of laughs.

The following season at Glenelg Oval, Central District defeated Glenelg by 38 points ..... a 276 points turnaround.

The long-time record for TANFL football here in Hobart was held by New Norfolk 39.17.251 - Clarence 11.12.78 at Boyer Oval in 1983.

The previous week Clarence beat bottom side Hobart by 101-points at Bellerive Oval (20.20.140 - 5.9.39).

Ironically a couple of weeks after the Boyer Oval debacle, bottom side Hobart came out and annihalated New Norfolk by 85-points at Boyer Oval (24.7.151 - 9.12.66).

Strange times:D

What's the SFL record? Glenorchy in Round 2 V Brighton kicked 32.20 to I think only 5.??.??

Current SFL record:
Clarence 37.20.242 - Claremont 8.6.54 at Abbotsfield Park in 2001

The OLD STFL (1996-1997) may have higher scores, but inadequate records have been kept.

Yeah, it's hard finding anything SFL, their site hardly has any info regarding these things.

LFC

Yeah the old STFL would have had a big margin against Lachlan. If I remember correctly they got beat by 300+ one game by either Brighton or Kingston??
