During the final quarter of the game between Glenorchy and Hobart at the TCA Ground young Glenorchy player Shane Piuselli
took a blow to the head and was out cold, during this Piuselli had a fit, and swollowed his tounge. The game was held up for 20minutes while an ambulance was called. The Glenorchy trainers were working hard to get his mouth guard out, to help him breathe.

Later in the night Shane Piuselli was discharged from the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The worst part of this was some of the Hobart players during the incident were calling for Piuselli to "get up you faker" pretty poor thing to say to a guy having a fit on the ground. Credit has to go to the Hobart Football Club for quickly calling an ambulance, and clearing a path for the ambulance to get onto the ground. Hobart trainers also were there helping with getting him into the ambulance. I am surprised the game wasn't called, the game was over (score wise)

What is the update on the injured player?

Concussion, will probably miss a few games. he was lucky there was an ambulance in the area at the time. Get there pretty quick.

Pretty ordinary form from some of our players with a couple of comments made - however all clubs have that sort of element of players in there that do that - regrettably.

I remember a Kingston player went into a fit on the boundary line in front of the scoreboard last year at the TCA, in the final roster game.
The scoreboard operator rang an ambulance on his mobile phone, and was told it would be half an hour.

So some Kingston supporters bundled the player into thier car and took him down the hill to the Royal.
The Kingston supporters responded by abusing the scoreboard attendant, even after he made sure their own player was being properly looked after - classy club that Kingborough:rolleyes:

It was good to see some of the Hobart trainers were out there helping in getting him of the ground. One went out to the gate and opened it up so the ambulance could get through.

I guess there's so many players faking injuries, and for free kicks that there isn't an easy way to pick it up.

Was watching our north pines(saafl)B grade playing against westminister on saturday.7 mins into the 2nd quarter two players where on the ground contesting for the ball our ruckman has come in to scoop the ball up and not got down far enough and kneed the opposing player in the head.Player was knocked out cold started fitting after a couple of mins, stopped the game and did not play the rest of the quarter and went straight to half time. player was taken to hospital and put into an induced comma. Was brought out of comma two days later and luckily no permanent damage done.Lucky Lucky man.

We had something similar happen a couple of weeks ago in the Ballarat Football League under 18 competition.

The only thing that was different was that the Lake Wendouree player wouldn't stop throwing up whilst having a fit.
