This is absolute BS, I'm sick of Channel 7, 9 & 10 poaching quality TV from ABC and then axe them after a short while (ie. Shaun Micaileff). Except for Paul McDermott he was due for axing (over exposure)

What has happened to The Simon Micallef Program/Pogram/Programme?

I loved him on ABC.

I think he's still under contract to 9 but they are letting him sit around.

Channel 7 are a ****in joke, they finally get a HALF descent show and screw around with it, can't wait till i see the ratings drop AGAIN.

Would have rather it stayed on Monday's as it's a good weekend wrap-up show rather than a mid week preview show.

I have enjoyed the show since it moved to 7 so hopefully it will catch on with more people in the earlier slot.

Although, 10:30 to 11:30 was good, it made sure I was up for King of the Hill! ;)

You would've thought 7 might've learn't some lessons from the ABC stuffing the show around.

It's better on a monday after most sport has been played and is being talked about, not 3 days later when the weekends news is old news.

No wonder 7 is struggling.

They took Shaun off some time ago now. His Monday night chat show just didn't seem to work and Channel Nine being who they are didn't even give him a chance to shine. The sooner he gets back to the ABC and does his sketch shows again the better. He's a genius.

Talking Footy being brought back to Monday (from Tuesdays) is another factor in the scheduling reshuffle.

My four year old sister would make a better programmer than the current ones for all FTA Australian TV. Shows jump around and no-brainer surefire hits like Buffy or Seinfeld they don't put on in Prime Time? Or keep moving shows around then take them off then put double episodes on ...how stupid is that - like you want three hours in a row. If sponsors don't know that we are taping and fast-forwarding then they are as moronic as the station owners.

Here's a novel concept that they haven't yet grasped but which has garnered multi-millions in repeat consumer dollars in the U.S. & U.K. for decades - putting a show on a specific night and time and keeping it there so people know automatically that it will be on and plan for it. It is called viewer loyalty and pays big around the globe ...but not here ...d'oh.

Looks like Big Brother will get back the ratings it lost to MRR with a couple of okay, but hardly must see sitcoms taking the MRR slot.

Meanwhile, news this morning on 3AW that Tony Squires new timeslot on Wednesdays is going to include more showbiz/entertainment stuff to go along with the sport.

Um, wasn't that one of the reasons, along with the crappy timeslot, that the show began to suck when it was on the ABC?

Yes,but ch7 are very slow learners.

This means we'll get weekly appearances by All Saints [E.R rip-off] dweebs and Home & Away teen geeks.

Oh great. :o

More Tony Squires - looks like he'll be hosting Seven's prime time Olympic coverage. Sandy Roberts will be relegated to mid-dawn with ****ing Johanna Griggs on mornings and Matthew White (who starts in July) on afternoons.

WHERE'S BRUCE?

I know he's hosting some Vic vs SA state of origin legends thingy for channel 7, but is that all they got him doing these days? Wasn't the whole point of him staying with ch 7 being to host the olympics?

Agreed...the 'variety show' format just didn't suit him. Hopefully he gets back on tv sometime soon.

Ah very well then. Hope to hear a lot from him then. He's a fine commentator who should still be doing football instead of wasting away for months waiting for the horse races/olympics/rugby world cups to roll around.

But that's another argument...

If this happens, would be excellent, NFI why they suddenly changed that - they can alway show the Fat on Tuesday in Sydney if they really want to......
