If I see one more second of Idol (American or Aus), I'll shoot somebody.
Reality TV and anything similar can bugger off.
* Repeats [Friends/Simpsons]
* Taking shows off during a current series [i.e Third Watch/Hack/That 70's Show].

Reality television is the dumbing down of society to a level from which humanity( at least humanity that watches TV) may never recover. Shoddy "Current Affairs"programmes are also poisen because they influence the views of the less intelligent in a disturbing way.
Channel 7 and 10 cutting off the last line of a scene to show their stupid logos and what not. The amount of times they cut off the punch line for a joke on The Simpsons...
And those stupid ads at the bottom of the screen.

Correct.
Very annoying individual. Let us not forget Peter Brock's Holden Ads.

Well since most of my other gripes have been said, I'll go with the "World Premiere" advertisements whenever a channel shows some half ass Australian telemovie that'd be on at about 3 am if it weren't a local production. I mean, do the marketing departments think people just gravitate, pen in hard, towards their TV Guide to circle it because it's got those two words attached?
That "Spankin' hot summer" campaign on channel 7 ****ed me off beyond belief too, but that's a whole other story.
Let us not forget Peter Brock's Holden Ads.
Yeah, and that lizard should bite his **** off. How many times has Brock tired to kill the poor little bugger?

Ads, too many reality shows.
Hate it when it's the end of a show and they can't have just the credits and theme music. Instead they have annoying voice-over after voice-over. Or the screen is split into about four different sections with a really long voice-over for some crap show you don't want to know about.

junk time (credits, an add or two, news update, preview of the nights viewing, "this program bought to you by") - can waste up to 3 or 4 minutes sometimes
and the lack of sky sports on fox.

The way that stations (and Nine started it) refer to any premiere episode as the "ALL NEW" .....
Not just the NEW ... the ALL NEW. As if some shows could be "partially" new or something.
And don't even get me started on the cheeky way that some stations (again Nine are the chief culprit) slot in repeat episodes in between the "ALL NEW" episodes ....
I don't even bother with the CSI's anymore ...

it really is a mess - i've hated it for years. even with the addition of foxtel the only thing worth watching is Sportscenter on ESPN.
