Seriously guys i am fed up with what is happening down at Punt Road.
It got me thinking if we did finish last what would happen?
This is my predictions.
I would be hopnig the club did everything for Ottens and cogs to sign.
We would get our hands on the best talent available.
New Coach
New coaching staff
Some aggressive trading
Possibly a new captain
Some good delisting and retirements
Preseason picks where we can get a good young player.
I dont wanna sound upbeat but i think We cant make the finals and all this turmoil off- field could seriously be the best for RFC. Alot of changes is what we need a fresh start and i am all for that. Who would agree with this?

Trust me.. you dont sound upbeat.
As I told you on MSN, I see purposly dropping games and finishing last for 2-3 years is the easy way out. Its weak and gutless.
We had a shocker on the weekend - get over it. New week this week against the Eagles. We are out of the eight by percentage yet your sounding as if we havent won a game yet.

I agree RFC, and the AFL would do itself a favour by looking at what the fans of clubs in the bottom half of the ladder have been discussing here regarding the Priority Picks.
Too many people are encouraging a losing culture in order to gain picks. I understand this, but it's just not on and needs to be eliminated immediatley.

I agree, it should be eliminated - just after the 2004 draft.

Its not just from the weekend. Its from last year and the year before and basically all my life that i have been a tiger fan. I was too young to remember 1995 and i didnt get to see many games in 2001 but we do need alot of changes to make richmond a success and this is seriously the best way to do it. I will be supporting richmond the next 4 games but if we dont win any i will be in the favour for draft picks.

I for one F%^%$&G HATE losing games. It sucks. I don't want adopt this attitude of dropping games for better picks. We are in a position now where we can trade players on our list who dont want to play for our club and bring in ones that do.

It's the structure iof the AFL that is encouraging a losing culture.
WTF Else can u do ??????????
The system encourages this as it has no support whatsoever for middle order teams.

agreed!
get rid of those priority picks.end of story.
bottom 8 clubs go into a ballott to get the draft order.you fifnish last dosent guantee you get 1st pick.
problem solved.
cheers!
A fair point, but you cant blame the AFL for poor recruiting decisions even when we have good picks. It wasnt the AFL that thought Paul Hudson was a good addition to the RFC club
You can give us all the picks in the world, but a coach like Frawley will waste them on Paul Hudson.

I thought Sziller and King were handy recruits. Frawley nearly had me then.

did the research - bulldogs used the paul hudson pick on josh houlihan (must have traded it to the saints) so not a great loss there! but there have been plenty of other blunders.
