Central District Football Club has named its All Time Team for their 40th anniversary. The team was named by a committee consisting of Past Players & Coaches Tony Casserly, Roy Laird, Sonny Morey and 1965 Magarey Medallist Gary Window, former coach & Port Adelaide Senior Scout Alan Stewart and Club Historian Robert Laidlaw.

A formal presentation to team members or families will be made at the club's Mad Hatter's Ball which is held at the Hotel Adelaide International on Saturday May 5.

Roger Girdham has been named captain and the coach is 2000 inaugural premiership coach Peter Jonas. Other notable members are the Cochrane boys, triple premiership players James & Chris Gowans and 1984 Magarey Medallist John Platten.

Central's inaugural premiership captain Daniel Hulm was also named, so the presentation will probably be given to his family.

Any there (either choices or positions) that you're not 100% happy with raboyle?

Richard Cousins? Lyle Skinner? Peter Jonas (Collingwood 6 footer) at CHF says that Central have never had a decent CHF.

Where the blazes is Sally Saywell? :)

Richard Cousins was a dud.

No room for Wilbur in the 18? Greg Edwards? Peter Bubner?

The interchange bench is way too long.

And I probably would have gone for Alan Stewart as coach.

Would have thought MacGowan would have made the starting 18

So that would be Matty Prior's dad?

Krieg, Trigg, Beythein?

Being a relatively young club the debate about players before and after Adelaide's AFL inclusion would have been interesting.

If it doesn't have Peter Nicks and Kevin Johns on the half back flanks, how can it be a greatest Centrals side?

And Gary Jones at FF, Centrals answer to Dennis Sachse!

Barry Norsworthy anyone?
