Charge with the Essendon ruling of "rough play".

Looked like a hip and shoulder to me.

Will Brian Colless extract revenge on Lucas for Lloyd getting off on appeal after Round 2?

What a joke that was. Incredible. Must be withdrawn.

I really don't know what Lucas could have done, the guy slipped and went head first into him. Just a free kick.

Then on top of that you have ed saying that Lucas ran in to kill him.

it didn't look good from some angles in real time. but when you see what he actually did it was fine. no worries.

The best hope we've got is that there was an injury to Shammer (and I don't mean that in a bad way!): on the edge of the shoulder - so at least it may deem it not high.

It looked bad from where I was standing, but I wasn't close and I haven't seen anything on it since.

Having seen the replay and listened to a news report - it is pretty evident that the hit occurred on the shoulder and thus he should get off, or better yet have the charge withdrawn.

Still - because the shoulder is near the head, who the hell knows what those d**kheads will do.

Charge has been withdrawn.

LUCAS GIVEN THE ALL CLEAR
Monday, 31 May 2004

The AFL this morning withdrew the report against Scott Lucas. Lucas was reported in the first quarter of the Round 10 match against Fremantle by umpire Michael Vozzo for allegedly engaging in unduly rough play. The withdrawal of the charge means Lucas is available to play this weekend against Hawthorn.
