In a ridiculous time slot at 10:30 now. Channel 7 like ****ing up excellent shows. It should have been 8:30 Monday's instead of 9:30. Now it's pushed back to 10:30.
Whilst this series was slow to begin with, it's gotten better and better. There havn't been many twists in this series as the last 2, but it's going alone nicely. Hopefully the twists come at the end like last year. Excellent show but in a ridiculous time slot.
Anyone heard on what the next series is going to be about?

Nope nothing yet.
This has the potential to be the best series so far. There is still a lot to be explained, I hope they don't leave it until the last minute like the second season.
I've heard there won't be too many familiar faces around next year, due to both on-screen and off-screen issues. As long as Bauer is around, that's all you really need anyway.

Nah they shouldn't leave it to the last minute. I was told last night that someone read that all the twists come in the last few episodes.

After seeing what Channel 7 have done to Alias and 24 this year, my guess is they want a good reason to axe them. And a good reason to axe them would be to put them in ridiculous timeslots.
If that Threat Maxtrix is really axed in the US, why the hell would they bother showing it?
Channel 7 have no brains! That's my summary of them.
Channel 7 should **** that Las Vegas off and put 24 in that timeslot of 8:30.

Agree 100% - should have been moved to the prime time not a later slot - could not believe it when Ch7 did this.
- Classy show
Better than Alias and Sopranos (the only others I watch)

Just speculating but it would probably be pretty cheap to pick up an axed series. Plus they get the whole "new series from the US" hype adds to get people watching.
As for 24, any money says Michelle lives.

I don't really have a problem with a network showing something which has already which has been axed - it should really depend on whether it's any good or not.
Couple of years ago Ten had an okay show called Now and Again which they showed twice a week in prime time - even though it had already been axed in the US a couple of weeks before it started airing here.

The reason that a number of 24 regulars may not be back next year are pretty large budget cuts.
The reason that a number of already-axed shows are played out here is that local TV executives are f****** morons!!

I am an avid watcher of 24, addicted you could say. Can someone in the know answer me this without giving too much away?
At the end of the the second series we saw Pres Palmer go down after getting hit with some weird virus after a hand shake and a girl taking the gel stuff off her hand and making a call saying it was done. It was widely recognised that this girl was the one from the very first episodes of the first series, (the one on the plane that blew up and shot the other girl out in the desert etc). This linked the first series into the second and then with the dumping of the body at the beginning of the 3rd series you thought that the link was there again. We then discover the body was dumped by Bauer etc in their covert operation.
Anyways now that I have tried to explain that really succinctly (not) does anyone know where that particular storyline has gone or did it just disappear when they changed scriptwriters?

Now, I am the same as you, I don't know whats going to happen on the last 6 or so epiodes, but I can guess.
In episode 1 or 2 of this third series, you see the President on medication being treated by the doctor he was dating and it was the first time he went back to LA after the terrorist hit on him with that weird disease. So there was kind of a link there.
However, I rewatched series 2 before this series has started and in series 2 when she rings up and says its done, I'm pretty sure the guy on the other end is the guy who's behind this virus in this series. (His face is so familiar) So we could see a link up in the last however many episodes left in this series (this is a guess). It would fit in well with him wanting to speak with the president etc. So we could see this storyline come back.
I have been thinking the same as you. Where has the storyline gone and thinking about it, it could come back soon. Well I hope it does because it would then make this series even better.
Who knows. I guess we'll soon find out.

You were right SB.
Looks like we may be getting a vague connection coming back in, the guy was with Jack in Kosovo.
So we'll see what happens.
Pretty sure the sequence with Palmer going down was simply for cliffhanger purposes, i.e. will he/won't he be back for next season. From what I can recall, the guy on the boat wasn't Stephen Saunders... but I could be wrong. I watched Season 2 again in February, and from what I can recall that wasn't the guy. Season 3 is actually set some time after Season 2, 2-3 years from what I can remember.
As far as Michelle is concerned, I've got my money on her being immune to the virus.

Saunders started making demands of Palmer, starting with fetching a mobile phone that is unable to be traced (not sure why, some sort of chip) so Saunders could make the rest of his demands via the phone.
Saunders then forced Palmer to give a press conference, using the words "the sky is falling", which I think was a cue for some sort of attack on the MI6 offices in L.A., where Jack and Chase had taken a woman with connections to Saunders (more help needed, please!). Jack discovered a bomb which would have destroyed the hard drive with all of the info on Saunders, but he retrieved it just before it exploded - as he always does.
Just before the end of the show, Saunders gave his next demand, which was to kill Ryan Chappelle, because he was getting close to the money trail.
At the hotel, Gael becomes the first victim of the virus as everybody at the hotel gets tested. There is a 90% fatality rate, which as everybody has been saying, means Michelle will probably live. Tony took suicide capsules to the hotel, because side-effects are horrible.

At the end of the episode, the last thing we see is a wide shot (long distance away) of Jack pointing the gun at Chappelle and shooting Chappelle. Chappelle then fell to the ground.

Well its ok now because apparently on the radio today they said that pretty much everyone (Cept Jack) are leaving the show. I am ****ed of Elisha (Jacks daughter) is gonna leave, she was fine. I dont know for sure she will leave but she is arguably the shows 2nd biggest star after Jack now and would probably get more money elsewhere..
Lol did anyone with Foxtel watch the 24 marathon a while back, last year i think it was. I missed the first series and watched the first 9 hours, slept for 3 hours and watched the rest. Lol...
I will not be saddened if Cuthbert leaves. She is overrated looks-wise (not to say you wouldn't)... but it would remove the need for the writers to make ridiculous storylines to keep her in the series.
