Is there a player more talked about than this one? Maybe not.

Time for a poll just to see how he is really rated around here.

"How do you rate Kingsley as a midfielder?"

Very Good.

Very good. As our list currently stands I'd rate the midfielders like so :

Starting 4 :
Francou, James, Carr, P. Burgoyne - easy (for me anyway) to pick the top 4.

Next 4 - K. Cornes, Kingsley, Wilson, Cassisi

Remaining - Salopek, Schofield, Ebert, S. Burgoyne

Of course this is based on amount of time seen in the midfield, I expect/hope some of Salopek, Ebert, Kl Cornes, Cassisi and Junior B all are in the second 4 if not top 4 by sometime in 2005.

As a midfielder - very good. As a backman - bombscare!

This thread is just another excuse for Pred and Porthos to get their Kinger pictures out...

He's only a good midfielder in terms of the AFL.

Pred

I'd never do something like that to our mate Kingers

I went "good", with the caveat that it depends what day it is.

I'd have Kingsley in the top bracket (As a midfielder I have always rated him very high) but agree with the rest.
Wilson is in our top bracket as a player, but as HBF mainly and midfielder when required.
Schofield has floated between the bracket you have him in and the one directly above ever since arriving IMO.

He is just a good midfielder when you compare him to the others running around in the AFL.

And as a midfielder he is very poor defensively.

Porthos - you are taking an unhealthy interest in this thread - 7 times in the last half hour? ;)

The club's greatest servant. My favorite player since Game 1. Hopefully will be captain-coach of the club next year.

There have not been too many games for us where one player has turned and won a game for us.
Stuart Dew in the Wiz cup GF against Brisbane, and Kingers in one of the showdowns are two of the very few occasions where it has happened.

I don't know about that.
Dew is not being played in the same position, nor has been utilised in the same way for a very long time now.
Kingsley has won just about everything possible from an individual perspective when given plenty of time in the middle of the ground.
So yes IMO it is still relevant, because if given a chance that is what they can produce.

We have recently had visitors from (among others):

tmns.net.au
tpgi.com.au
mel.comindico.com.au
bigpond.com
roc.choiceone.net
vic.iprimus.net.au
sa.bigpond.net.au
dialup.optusnet.com.au
chariot.net.au

Pretty trivial to work out where in australia most of them came from too. And I can see what and when they have been accessing things.

So how do you check the web servers log file? Im guessing it would be pretty much the same no matter who you are with.

The picture of Kingsley *ugh* above, comes (pretty much) directly from my hard drive to your screen, as I am running Apache here, so I can see who's accessed the thread.

I'm not really into hacking ISP's web server logs ;)

One could pretty easily write an automatic script to go and post a tiny image the size of a full-stop, on every page of every thread on bigfooty, and keep it updated every time a new page of a thread was created, and then get it to compare poster names and post dates with the entries in the log file, and produce a complete report of the viewing habits of every member of bigfooty, over any given period of time.

You could create a study on the posters and who they follow and see how wins and losses change their posting habits.

Or just create a study on us, see who goes missing from the board and who sparks up after a loss.

If anyone else wants to check it out...I am writing a windows program to keep track of the tipping comp..it's not finished but if you want a look you can download it here (http://219.199.188.196/PredsPowerTools.zip).

Just unzip all the files, and click on the one with a Power Fist holding a hammer :). It may not run unless you have XP, but I'm not sure.
