just wondering if anyone has seen rohde get angry. considering we have won a total of seven mathches while he has been in charge i think there would have been numerous occasions when he has had the right to lose his temper but hasn't. could it be that the players dont follow his order because they dont fear him.

I want a coach that can coach.

I can't believe you said that Dry Rot! :)
You must be taking the pee?
Control aggressive on the field is ok, and yes we need a rocket up some of our players. Extremely passive and aggressive people won't work. They look stupid in these days of constant media scrutiny and it can't be as effective if done constantly.
Pagan keeps talking about having so many rockets (2 i think) per season.

Only when he can pick off former players with some cheap shots when asked, not taking on the situations that are of the most concern.

I would have given a spray to the players at 1q time against Sydney. Instead judging by reaction it took to 3q time when they had fully slayed us

Who coached the Swans 1996 - 2000? Must have been some other bloke who took them to lots of finals.

Why isn't he still there?
I think the reason they made finals in the late 90s had more to with the AFL wanting them there than Eades coaching.

Why isn't Malthouse still at the Eagles?

He left after 2 premeirships and wasn't sacked.
Got another job quite easily as well.

Wonder what would have happened if he'd been there another season?

I still reckon Eade is the best of AVAILABLE options, or maybe Alves.

Our next coach can't be inexperienced one.

No, but she should be losing sleep over his sorry looking win loss record.

Hehehe. Thought that would get a reaction. Incidentally thats exactly what Mark Doran said on SEN about Rohde too.

Dimma was the one giving cheap shots, not Rohde. Very dissapointed in Dimma and he's done himself no favours, because it just looks like sour grapes

And unless anyone here knows what goes on behind closed doors, how do we know if he gets angry or not. I didn't think Wallace was a coach who would get too angry until I saw 'Year of the Dogs'

I wish i had the forum in which to voice my opinion like Dimma did.

Nothing he said was any different to what we believe. The fact that Rohde responded is good enough for me. It mean's he heard what he had to say.

So would we go for an experienced coach currently out of a job, or an assistant coach looking to move up? If the later, surely it would be someone who has served a long apprenticeship with a successful premiership coach, so that they know the ropes.

Which would be better, there experience as a coach, or the experience as an assistant coach under a proven coach?

Assuming Thompson is after Sheedys job, that leaves Guy McKenna, Gary ODonnel VS say: Eade, Ayres, Spud (obviously not wallace)

bluey mckenna might be an option,
I personnally don't know what he's like from a bar of soap, but if he's similar to the way he played, ie tough back pocket type, with the personality to match, could be just what we need.
