On the radio earlier, I heard.. that Channel 9 are going to start putting 'Who wants to be a millionare" in the 5.30 - 6 slot every day of the week, and they are still going to have the hour show on monday..
This is because they have had bad ratings for the 6-7 news slot (worse ratings then channel 7..), and millionare has been one of their most popular shows or something like that..

Talk about killing an already lifeless show.
Moving deal or no deal to a daily show instead of weekly seems to have done wonders for it's ratings, so 9 are obviously going by the same theory.
I think it would be successful.
Yeah but what happens to the Price is Right?? :p
I think Millionaire would do well in that time slot, I usually watch 'Entertainment Tonight' (because it makes me laugh how much gossip they have about such meaningless topics :p) so I'd leave the telly on for Millionaire.

It's going to be on at 5pm
This has been done in the US for some time now. Different host for the daily show.
Moves much faster than the hour show. I think it would work well.
I am not sure that Eddie would have the time to do a daily show though, maybe they will look for a different host......

someone needs to start a watch on the least amount of questions in one show. 3 is not outside the realms of possibility.

I have little interest in ET except to know if it was bein moved to Cheers' spot which it seems to be.
I don't think Millionaire is repeats, how could they repeat a 1 hour show in a half hour slot? I think it's a mini version?

Oh, I quite thought it was you that watched it. Maybe someone else on my MSN list...
Repeating the one hour show in half an hour....well, they could cut out all the crap! Oh, wait, then they wouldn't have anything to show...

I watch it occasionally, but mostly it just makes me laugh because it's crap and I honestly can't believe that people care so much about celebrity weddings and breakups and how much such and such's dress really cost or what was in their divorce papers. :o
