Do the North and South Footy Leagues play a game against each other, like a type of SOO game?
Choose the best players from each league and play 3 games over the year.
1st Year, play two at York Park, one at Bellerieve.
2nd Year, play two at Bellerieve and one at York Park.
Keep rotating.
This would go off wouldnt it if both leagues hate each other that much?

They don't do anything like that anymore. It was meant to be the NTFL (North) Vs SFL (South) this weekend, but the NTFL doesn't wish to play the south this year for some reason. My personal feeling is that it just add's more and more wood to the fire with the hatred that the south has against the north. I will admit I have some hatred for the North, and I was looking forward to the Rep game. But I can't understand why AFL Tasmania just didn't have a Preimer League Team Vs A Regional Team? Might be one for Wade and the boys to think about for next year.
And yes Gocats, alot of the south hate the north for the fact that we have to travel to go watch any AFL footy!!!!!! LOL
A regional V premier game??
Not sure if that is what you meant, but I think it would be interesting to see the two different styles come together.
Although I feel the Premier league would win quite comfortably, the Regional league would no doubt surprise the Premier league with its physicality.

They used to, up to last year, but the north had won about 20 million in a row and have decided to beat up on the NTFA instead.
The game is this weekend so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

It would be great to see the best Premier League Players Against the best Regional league players. It safe to say the the Premier team should come out top. But with the regional team with it's physicality would not have to written off. I would love to see if Cygnet's gun forward (Darcy) would be able to have the same effect he has week in week out. Myself being a Glenorchy supporter would love to see Darcy playing at Glenorchy. Even though we have Salter and Millhouse at forward you can't deny the fact that Darcy is the best full forward in the Comp!!!!! Another thing I would love to see Danny Noonan take on a few of his old mates at Clarence!!!!!!

The NTFL won by 28 points.
Perhaps they should play a rep game amongst themselves (North v. North West) and send the NTFA down to embarass the SFL ;)

At the moment the South is just not passionate enough, nor competitive enough to keep up with best players in the North & North West.
To give you an idea of why the South (at this particular point in time) will NEVER be on an even keel with North, one only has to read the SFL's football program from last week, where it's General Manager (who is a sympathiser of the Huon clubs only) and is also the former GM of the old Huon Football Association - states that because of the Tasmanian Team of the Century has done so well, and create so much debate in the State, that there should be a seperate Tasmanian Team of the Century for players who played bush football only.
What that says is, lets reward those who have sat back in thier comfort zones, sat around and drank too much, been lazy and not trained thier backsides off to get themselves to a standard to be worthy of recognition.
No wonder with clowns like this tosser running football in the South, that the game is almost dead in the South - what a complete joke.

I really don't think the Regional league would be able to compete against the Premier League. Though it would be closer then some of the premier league games this season.
