View Full Version : Warne breaks his hand?
In what might be good news for Stuart MacGill, Shane Warne has apparently had his hand broken by Darren Gough in the game against Essex. No indication of which hand though...
Confirmation from the BBC...
Warne suffers broken hand
Shane Warne will be out of action for about a month after suffering a broken hand during Hampshire's 114-run Championship victory over Essex.
He is likely to miss Australia's two home Tests against Sri Lanka, scheduled for the first two weeks in July.
The 34-year-old sustained the injury after being struck on the hand by a Darren Gough delivery while batting.
"Shane is expected to be ruled out for three to five weeks," said Hampshire physio Paddy Farhard.

You don't need your left hand to bowl leggies :D Bad luck to him
Well seems like it's his left hand, but everyone is reporting he'll miss the tests against Sri Lanka and will be out for a month.
well i would imagine it would be hard to play cricket in plaster... and i would imagine that is how it will be treated...

Typical...it was Darren Gough that did it!
Bloody county cricket.
An opening for White?
He was selected in the squad for Zimbabwe. Doubt it - but would be good to see.
Any excuse to keep the other NSW pie thrower out of the side is good with me.
Well, he apparently won't need surgery, so he's a 50/50 chance to play the tests. Which means he'll play I would imagine.
