On the Tassie/Werribee game, it must've been a very scrappy old affair as only one goal was kicked after quarter time. Looked pretty damned wet up at Devonport today.

However, an aggregate scoreline like that is very low under any circumstances for senior footy unless you're playing on the old mile-long fields.

Horrific conditions throughout the North and North West all weekend according to weather reports - bleak, dry and cold in the South.

The VFL game at Devonport had ONE goal after quarter time, and an extraordinary NO goals after half-time.
I can't remember a game where neither team has goaled in three quarters here.

Having experienced a coastal storm before, it's little wonder.

Oh I remember traveling up there one year during the bad weather up there. It's just as bad at West Park in Burnie, it was cold and horrible there one day when I was up there.

I'm surprised no one got injured on the bike track at Devonport Oval.

Oh yes there were!

Deloraine v Rocherlea
Hillwood v Georgetown
Bridgenorth v Longford
Scottsdale v Bracknell

Obviously the results weren't in the Mercury. Or they've gone and changed the roster!

I guess The Mercury were feeling lazy during the long weekend.

Yeah Phil, there were no NTFL or NTFA results printed at all in the Mercury over the long weekend.
I only got the NTFL results off of WIN News on Monday night.
In regard to the NTFA - I read in The Examiner last weekend, that they weren't playing this weekend due to the NTFL - NTFA rep game.
Who knows, it might have changed again...LOL but when it comes to "The Muckery" you have more chance at finding out who won the local Wednesday night bridge comp, rather than any Northern football comp results.
A lazy, shoddy newspaper the Mercury is.:o

Maybe they should pay them more money up North, they may get things right someday.
