Id gladly have hime back.

He doesnt seem to be getting a go at Richmond - why? Did he play today?

IMO Blumfield is a very classy player, can play tall or small, is very good as a link man on the wing/through the guts.

you wouldn't be too interested if you saw the pathetic performance toady, easily pushed out of the contest...poor options when he did get it and cost us a couple of goals in the process...sure he's been injured but he's had a month in the seconds to get back....he wont be at Punt rd next yr

We got pick 6 from Bulldogs not Hawthorn along with Alvey in a three way deal to make sure Rawlings goes to the dogs!

We won't be at the end of this season, and thank god for that.

Receiver only, who did we draft with the pick we traded for him?

Hang on there a bit bojangles.

How about you assess blumfield at the end of the year instead of his first run back since his list of injuries at richmond. Hopefully now he has gotten over his injuries and can string a few games together and hopefully dud frawley plays him on teh wing instead of forward.

Would he be getting more of us if he was actually playing every week?

Or do the AFL calculate an average? If we were paying him base % of what he was getting with us for say an average of 15 games a year, then we've been ripped off!

Otherwise, good to see he hasn't hurt us.

Don't think we're paying that much, Richmond pays the bulk of his wages, it doesn't really hurt us, but next year it'd be gone, just a little longer, just a little longer...

He's not a bad player at all. Put in plenty of great performances at Essendon. If he was injury free, I wouldn't mind having him back. (Will I get shot for saying so?)

Injuries aside, it can be hard to play well in a second-rate team.

Blumfield is probably unlucky not to be a Norm Smith medallist. Good player dogged by injuries.

"The complicated deal saw the Bulldogs give Hawthorn pick six in the national draft – which they earlier secured from Richmond for Nathan Brown – to the Hawks in exchange for untried youngster Lochlan Veale but obviously in the knowledge that Rawlings would then be available to be snapped up by the Dogs in the pre-season draft.

The Hawks then gave Essendon pick six in exchange for Jacobs while the Bombers also gained wingman Mark Alvey from the Bulldogs."

Thanks hawks.

AFAIK we are not paying any of blumfields salary this year.

This is Blumfield's 2nd year at Richmond and has nothing to do with the Brown trade. Essendon had to offloaded him behind his back because they were about to be caught out cheating the salary cap again. Richmond jumped in and secured him for a nothing pick. He was not happy and it shows in his present attitude.

The nothing pick looks like it will turn out pretty good:D

No wonder you have made 1422 posts. If that in depth response is anything to go on, you should have close to 5000 by years end. Quantity is not better than quality, you clown.

"About to be caught cheating the salary cap" is a nice way of describing clearing 3 premiership players and everyone having known about it during trade time, which is the right time to reduce your TPP.

Turkey!

And you can keep him. The hairy magnet had this one firmly clamped....but looking at his sheila, not sure about the "hairy" part. I suspect she knows where Brazil is.
