What has the coverage and promotion of the game been like in WA?

In Melbourne, you would have a bit of trouble finding out the game is even on :(

Isn't the ABC covering the game in both states? Surely they are.

Its getting a fair bit of coverage over here.

The West Australian has had some feature articles.

Footygoss has featured it heavilly as expected.

WAFLon, the WAFL tv program on channel 31 here in Perth, had a heavy state game empahsis and state captain Brad Smith as a guest.

Westside Football, the local football nespaper has also covered it extensively.

Not so much coverage on the radio just yet.

However the match itself will be broadcast live on 990am, 6PR and 6WF as well as ABC TV of course, so the game is well covered here on match day.

The only problem is that the Fremantle Dockers are playing at Subiaco Oval later in the day.

That could potentially harm the state game crowd figure quite significantly.

Melbourne viewers, fret no more. Found this out on the ABC website... ABC will screen the match live at 3pm Vic time. ;)

Yep, I assume the early 1.10pm start is specifically for the Victorian TV viewers.

I watched the last quarter of the game after our club game had finished and thought coverage wasn't too bad actually.

What were your thoughts on not sending Phil Cleary up, but sending Peter Donegan ?

Interested to hear your thoughts on commentary team and on broadcast in general.
