In The Australian (http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,9915080%255E2722,00.html)

... told The Australian that he had "nothing to say". "I'm not in the mood to be talking," Ayres said.

Well at least it's a start.

"In all, Ayres ... has been in charge of 223 senior games, putting him fifth on the list of number of games coached without winning a premiership."

They also said Jason Torney is under pressure to retain his spot on the list in that article.

**** me dead, if that's the opinion of the AFC they're in even more trouble than I thought.

He is easily in our best 22.

He is easily in our best 22. I will be AMAZED if Torney is under pressure to ratain his spot on the list. As you say he is in our best 22 and will be vital to our backline during the rebuilding phase.

I think that's a positive. Why do we assume all coaches inteh league have an equal opportunity to win a flag?

a good example is Larry Brown in the NBA.
Not winning everything doesn't mean you didn;t do a good job - thus 223 games and the sniff of another position

It's good for the man, how good was it for the clubs - Geelong and Adelaide?

Self-styled 'career coaches' rarely, if ever, win anything
