Loosely interpreted that means a lot of us have retreated to our own little insular site because there were too many naughty people on here taking the **** out of our yuppy club and some of our soft **** players.

Thats a nice story you have made up and continue to push. If it makes you feel better then best of luck to you.
The real reason for the mass defection BESTINTHEWEST was the traffic on this site was so heavy all you would see is DO NOT HIT REFRESH.
Think if you go back into past threads you'll see this was the logic behind creating the board on a pre-existing site.

Yeah probably the same people who would do anything to kick David Wirrapunda out the door have set up a homage to Trent Carroll...

Noone's forcing you to visit EFH coasting. Oh, and I'm the one who set up the Trent Carroll board. Its a bit of a laugh because of my long-standing defense of Carroll which most of the guys there (and here) would know about.
Incidentally, I've never advocated trading Wirra and I'm the one who set up the Trent Carroll forum, so your little rant above is somewhat mis-directed.

I never meant to imply you were forcing anyone to do anything but rather question why you would set up a board to honour Trent Carroll as opposed to someone like the winner of the inaugural AFL Community Leadership Award.

Maybe Wirra should bring his off field award out on the field with him, might stop his opponent if he hit him over the head with it.

Maybe he should take his inspiration from Trent Carroll, he doesn't need any help softly hitting guys on the face to give away 50m penalties.

What does Trent Carroll giving away 50m penalties got to do with Loyalty?

That pretty much sums up why the TC forum exists (well when EFH is alive anyway... bloody routers).
You're busy telling everyone else off for some imagined slight against a particular player, yet you then turn around and completely slag off another player. The TC board is a bit of fun; to a fair extent I'm pulling the **** out of myself with that forum; a Wirrpunda board wouldn't be half the fun.
(in deference to Appleyard not liking promotion of other boards on BF, if you want to continue this, come over to EFH to do so. The connection should be up in about an hour)

Ahh I'm sorry, I seem to be the one mixing up loyalty to a player and loyalty to the club this time....

I'm trying to illustrate a point. I find it extremely absurb that people are asking for Wirra to be traded (most say at all costs while we still can) but don't care if hacks like Trent Carroll, Kane Munro are around or not. People just want Wirra gone because they think we can get a draft pick for him that will somehow lead us to the land of milk and honey. I find it extremely absurd that people would set up a board dedicated to such hacks (for what, some sick sense of humour?) when you could honour something good that our players do off the field. I would say these football fans have their priorities all wrong... but thats just me and maybe I'm more different to average Eagles supporters than I thought.

Now your just talking crap.
'most'?, most are being realistic and suggesting that Wirrpunda MAY be traded. Maybe a couple are actually keen for this to happen.
Nobody has suggested trading Wirra will lead us to the land of milk and honey but IF he was traded we MIGHT be able to get something which MIGHT improve the team in some way due to his sub standard contribution to the side in relation to his current value on the market.
I dare say 'most' would rather not trade Wirrpunda and 'most' would prefer Wirra to be playing well enough for this to not even be a slight chance of actually happening, but in the real world, it is.

Difference is... Carroll and Munro are worth between them about 10 bottletops as trade bait. Wirrpunda is worth something as trade bait. I dare say Kane Munro couldn't do a worse job that Wirrapunda t the moment.

Go back and watch the last half against the crows. Wirra doesn't travel well but then again neither do alot of our players.
