For the record as mentioned in another topic by Rocket Rudi, yes we should IMO.
He's one of the best players to have ever played the game.

Carey an assistant with Lambert and Libba. Like it.
At the moment, I can't see W.Carey being an assistant coach anywhere but Adelaide, at least in the short term. If he were to take up a job at another club, surely the move would come under huge publicity, therefore making it less attractive for Carey and the proposed club.

Yes.
Nope.
Great players don't necessarily translate into good ,or even mediocre coaches.
I can't see any valid reason for the Lions to persue Carey.

Agreed. As genuine superstars, probably Lethal and Blighty are the only two exception to that rule.
Academic anyway. They're making the right noises down at Arden St to bring the prodigal son home. When he leaves Adelaide it won't be for the Brisbane sun.

Aker will hate the lions and would probably leave if Carey became assistant coach.

Xplo I agree with you. Akermainis will claim that he'll leave the lions if Carey is appointed as Skill coach:Forward Line. I doubt that Lethal would wont Carey. Also Would Wayne wont to move to Brisbane???
