He's clearly out of favour at the Roos - has been in and out for the whole season but I absolutely lap him up as a player.
Imaging him filling the dashing half back position of Lonie/Johnson when they move into the midfield next season...
Should we have a dig and offer Jess a contract at year's end?
I say a big yes.
Not a bad idea. He's not the type we need, but at the right price...........

Nope, he has foot skills so not welcome at Collingwood.
They can have Leon Davis for him. Not a neccessity like a Quality CHB/CHF is.

A gun IMO. Get your filthy hands on him

I guess we need to take his hairdresser too.
No point. We need fast midfielders. Flankers we have by the truckload. Unless we got him for Kinnear, Williams and McKee I can't see why we'd bother. He'd be fighting Cole for the spot.

Agree with that.
Jess is a gun when fit. One of our most important IMHO.
But, he aint the type you blokes need. Cole and Clement look set in the tallish defender spots. Jess is best on a HBF but handy on a wing. Great mark, great kick, not slow and pretty damn tough despite the head on him.
We have nothing quick that I would give up, and I don't see any tradable players for you blokes.
Your poor depth means your blokes are either guns and untradable or fill ins and average footballers.
i see merit in the idea....maybe a swap for lonie.....
what about david wirrpunda? not goin so well at weagles, is a vic boy, could come home at end of year, could release johnson to the midfield permantely, or play forward and push leon out of the side?
any thoughts?

Don't get me wrong - I rate Lones VERY highly.
However, Roachy will be top 15 within 5 years.
