New to Bigfooty & currently overseas, wondering how you took this article? From looking from afar I would say we are lacking not in defence or midfield but up forward, Do we still need a key position FF to kick us a bag ie. Saints, Dees, Lions, Port, Bombers & were do we get him from or am I seeing this wrong & CC is dead right?

I liked this part though:

Earlier this month, Connolly had blunt individual meetings with all players outlining how they could earn their future with the club and promised to turn his traditional philosophy of comfort into an aura of instability.

Go Dockers

What's the defence done wrong? It's our attack that's costing us games!

I agree that the backline has been pretty good. They always make a few stuff-ups kicking out etc but all clubs do. I think Woodsy has been a little inconsistent in his approach to the ball, McPharlin and Haddrill generally very good.

Forwards have been much more inconsistent as a whole group, though Farmer has picked up of late. J Lo has had a pretty good season and Medhurst not good at all especially away.

I reckon Connelly should keep revving up the forwards rather than have a go at the backline.

He does have a point in that although the defenders have been good defending they have at times lacked the rebound that can make life easier for the forwards.

Maybe he is playing ducks and drakes a bit as well.

I think the backline has been our shining light this season.

Bingo :)

Just wasn't going to churn out the forward line scenario that the journo's were obviously craving - yet again.

Surprised they actually made a story out of this one..
