Solomon Fletcher Welsh
McVeigh Bolton Hunt
Dyson McPhee Peverill
Haynes Lucas Murphy
Richards Lloyd NLM
Allan Johnson Misiti
Laycock, Hird, Alvey, Walsh

EM: Bullen, Mercuri, Reynolds, Watson

IN: Hunt, Laycock, Alvey, Walsh, NLM.
OUT: Henneman, Hille, Rama, M. Johnson, Stanton

Drop Hille, he is no good. (0 possesions, 7HO, 1 tackle)
Henneman (5 possesions and 5 goals kicked against him).
Rama (struggling, find some form in the VFL)
MJ (teach him a lesson)
Stanton (enough said, not up to it)

Decided to put Welsh in because he has pace, however, he won't get a game because he hasn't done enough in the VFL, thus not deserving a spot in the ones. However, reynolds is likely to get a game (I don't rate him, but can he do worse than we did last night).

Hunt and Laycock yes, provided they have solid games.

The rest would be up in the air imo.

Play them. I don't care HOW they go at Bendigo this week, just play them.

To be fair to Henneman he had only 2 or 3 kicked on him. Stopping Sav wasn't going to happen regardless, but really, elementary skill errors just show he really is a f*cking dud.

Here's who I'd drop:

Henneman, Hille, Ramma

If Sheedy went through with his threat of dropping senior players you'd assume MJ would be in that lot as well.

Yeah, you'd think that it would be worthwhile making an example of Rama or MJ or Solly.

I don't care who comes in or who else goes out but:

Yeah you would. Let's not forget after one loss last year, he threatened to Axe several seniors. So, who does he drop? Mercuri and Bullen.

Well, I bet the rest of the team **** their pants that week.

He should show some steel and drop all 3 (Hille, Ramma and MJ). MJ's been giving away too many free kicks, Hille has been terrible even when he was given the #1 spot, and Ramma, who knows. He's just been terrible to.

No one's allowed to break the team rules, MJ's undiscipline and stupidity was very costly, if anyone thinks you can be an absolute idiot like him and still stay in the team, then there's some serious problems in our club.

He has to be made an example of, yes, a scapegoat, but we need one. We have to set a standard of discipline, and being the deputy vice captain of the club doesn't mean you can escape punishment.

And perhaps then the senior players have in the back of their minds the thought that Sheedy is just bluffing, so when he makes a song and dance about dropping senior players, the senior players aren't as concerned as they should be.

I'm not sure about Rama. Most supporters would like to see guys like Dyson and Stanton selected because they will be an important part of our midfield in the future. Rama is also going to be an important part of our midfield in the future, so perhaps it's worthwhile keeping him in the side. On the other hand, he has been given a good opportunity to run himself back into form but hasn't really delivered, so perhaps he could do with a few games in the VFL.

Can u say Band Wagon?

Sheeeshhhh Maz Last week u were Brent Stantons number one fan...

Either way... we cant drop Rama our midfield lacks pace i dont care about teaching a lesson and what not if we completely deplete our running player.

Hird cannot start on the bench cause that is dumb.

Go troll else where bandwagon boy :D

Gee mate you decided to start Sir James on the bench on his 200th game? A bit harsh dont you think so?

Still a fan, but he has showed he is simply not ready.

I did not realise this. However, I find it hard to stomach Sheeds lambasting MJ, Solly, Rama yet give a *****weak excuse for Hird, and still play Heeners. Since its Jimmy 200th start him on the ground and lets hope that last week he had a bad game, because after all he is human.

Was there ever a Stanton bandwagon? To my knowledge it only constituted of one person.

Ummm.... maybe cos it's the first bad game Jimmy's played, like, forever.... and because he's a champion.... and because he deserves about twenty more chances before he's disciplined.... and because he's probably just exhausted from having to carry our other self-styled stars every week...

Reynolds is apparently gone for the season - did something to his leg yesterday.

OUT: Henneman, Hille, MJ
IN: Laycock, Hunt, Winderlich

Henno because he's not a footballer. Has no footballing instincts whatsoever.
Hille for obvious reasons.
MJ for discipline and to scare the **** out of everybody else.

Laycock to replace Hille, Hunt for Henneman (I'm finally off Henno - been all for giving him a chance) and Winders for pace and midfield.

If only people actually paid attention to what the 2nds are up to, then we would not see a generally struggling Laycock being named at every opportunity.

Here's my team:

Backs: Welsh Fletcher Bradley
Half-Backs: Solomon Bolton Lovett-Murray
Centres: Alvey Murphy McPhee
Half-forwards: Hird Lucas McVeigh
Forwards: Dyson Lloyd Haynes
Rucks: Allan J. Johnson Peverill
Interchange: Richards Misiti Winderlich (who am I missing?)

Ins: Alvey, Bradley, Lovett-Murray, Winderlich
Outs: Henneman, Ramanauskas, Stanton, M. Johnson

(NB: Should Fletcher get suspended, Hunt will also come in)

5 Jul 2004, 14:34
True Pazza, but I think the rationale is that because Hille is going so badly at the moment, Laycock couldn't possibly do any worse.

I nominate Solomon to take Richo as he did the '01 quater final and Lucas on Ottens.

Just remember what happened last time guys.

NO RICHO - NO ESSENDON.

Anyway, looks like fletchers earnt himself a 2 week break. Bring in Hunt I say. At least he'll have more trade value at the end of the year after his played alongside Henneman.

Shyte, we can't get any worse!

Alright then:

The Pretenders versus the unparralled champions of the world who NEARLY beat Brisbane, with Sgt. Schulz and Colonel Klink.

Is that any better?

Maybe the players in the 2s would actually play better if they knew they had a chance of being selected once in awhile.

Certainly wasn't the worst and ahead of Laycock, but behind Bradley. Must have been watching Kouta's one-handed pick-ups also.

well you got 2 key defenders out. We got stafford out for a few weeks. Richo is definatly coming back in but you are just lucky that staff isnt playin cause we would of had ottens, richo adn schultz all down there at one time.

Bolton would take richo wouldnt he?

Anyawy this is what i think will be the side.

B: A.Kellaway Hall Zantuck
HB: Pettifer Bowden Campbell
C: Tivendale Johnson Blumfield
HF: Brown Schultz Hilton
FF: Krakouer Richo Rogers
Foll: Ottens Hyde Fleming
Int: Marsh Moore Pettifer Tuck
Emg: Rodan Chaffey Jackson

In: Richo Rogers Marsh A.Kellaway
Out: Stafford Chaffey Gasper Rodan

Im hoping you beat us by 20 or lower points or its a draw. We want those priority picks.

Out. Henneman, Fletcher, Stanton
In. Hunt, Bradley, Alvey

Henneman out with injury although i would've dropped him anyway. Fletcher out through suspention. Stanton has been servicable this year but last week his disposal was very ordinary.

Hunt must be brought in. His time is now. Bradley can come back in and gain a bit more experience. Has been good in the VFL yet again.
Alvey should also be brought back in and given a fair amount of game time. He needs it.

Hille is very very lucky to retain his spot but we need a back up ruckman, and Laycock and Cartledge havn't shown enough form for my liking to come into the league team.
