View Full Version : Bradshaw reminded me of someone ...

... whom I watched play footy in the late eighties.

He'd entered the Fitzroy team as a half-forward flanker. Led and ran well, and loved to jump for a big mark.

He hardly ever held the marks however, and, save for causing a few oohs and ahhs when he flew, didn't have a lot of impact on the game.

This said, he caught my eye, and I chose to watch his progress. He looked like someone who would get there, be there, and stay there.

Soon enough, he began to hold a few, and drill a couple here and there, too.

I was so appreciative of his potential on the football field, that I and a couple of mates started a supporter group in his name.

Gotta give credit where it's due. I've been a bit of a critic of Mr Bradshaw (well, that's an understatement) of late, but I've gotta admit, there has been a marked improvement in his game over the last few weeks. He really is starting to do the team things, and kicking plenty of goals.

Keep up the great work Daniel. Now, if we could just get Mr Headland to kick the ball to his own players, we're set. :)

He took some great marks too in the wet. Real strong, one grab marks. That screamer in the second quarter was excellent.
