Power
Lappin
Charman

What happened to Black in the 2nd half ? His stats showed 3 possessions after a monster 1st half. Thought the first 10 mins. showed that we didn't respect our opponents and surprise .. they've played really well. Centre clearances were very poor and Leppa obviously had other things on his mind. Move of Ash and Jonno was excellent .. Ash looked a whole lot better down back and Jonno attempted some serious speccies as well as winning the game.

3- Juggy Lappin
2- Prince Charmon
1- Lukey Power

* Honourable mention to Blake - nice work .

Frustrating game to watch.

I almost thought I heard Leigh at three quater time yelling "Right! there'll be NO Maccas on the way home if you don't get straight out there and tidy your game up! - ...And no Playstation till Wednesday!!! "

4.5 - Lappin and Power - equally good and equally influential on the game - couldn't split 'em so I've taken the ckicken's way out.

3- Brown - look at that boy go!

2- Caracella - like his cool-headed approach, his ability to take a contested mark but most of all, his ability to convert them to goals.

1- Voss - maybe not as dominant as he can be but inspirational with that hardness at the ball and those sacrificial acts.

Overall, I thought it was an excellent game of footy.

Sure, we looked a little rusty but I thought Richmond were excellent all night and probably would have beaten any other team in the comp on that form.

I think that after 3 Premierships in as many years and acknowledged as the "benchmark' by all and sundry, we will have to accept that we're just not going to get too many easy cakewalks anymore.

The genuine finals contenders are all queing up to have a crack at us and boost their own esteem (eg Freo, St Kilda, Geelong) but even the also-rans like Richmond are busting their guts against us because they know they will gain self-respect and respect from the broader football world if the can be seen to run us close.

This Sunday is the Bulldogs and I'm not kidding, I'm expecting another tough and relatively close encounter.
