View Full Version : Purple Haze v Norf

Norf looked pretty good against the Bummers the other night. Will
a) the purple haze descend and see us whip their sorry butts all the way back to Melbourne,
or
b) will this be a close, hard danger game that we could get done in?
My heart says a) - the power of the purple will prevail (and don't forget we want as sea of purple around Subi this Sat night), but my head says b). They certainly looked a good unit, esp with old Sav firing up forward, and we certainly are now beatable at home.

Thoughts? Any changes for this week? I would think probably not.

We havent had a real hit out at a side and def them convincingly: I reckon this will be the game and it will be a % booster,

Gees I hope Im right though

and we need to pack the joint in purple

The board has a big think about TLo & Clives preformances but go's with the same line-up.

Kangas get out in front but once again in the third quarter the Dockers lift kicking an abundance of goals. McPharlap shuts down all before him & we go on to win by a huge margin with ***** (insert Wiz or Medhurst) kicking a bag.

Changing my tip from the main board Dockers 40+

This is a real danger game for you guys. No other interstate team looks into ways in winning at Subi more than the Roos. Always a gritty, hard at outfit who generally put up a good show against any opposition. Should be an entertaining game.
I found this game hard to tip, but have gone with your mob becasue of home ground advantage (just).
Whats the forcast Sat night? (and dont say purple haze)

Contact the Pope, he has already given the long range forecast.

Fine and 17, I think.

Commiserations Purple People.

Top class game and your boys were in white hot form that 1st 20 minutes, plus another 'purple' patch in the 3rd.

Never nice to lose, but your guys (especially your big names)played well, and would win 9 times out of 10 with that sort of effort.

judging by what you read on dockerland, you'd think that loss spelt the end of our season. hardly, we lost a competitive game with a fellow top eight contender. good to that at least some of the posters here have realised that.

Indeed, but sadly it could well spell the end of our season. Simply, we are out of the 8 and have to win more than we lose to make the 8. Which now is no easy task.

What people don't get and especialy over at Shaneland.com is that we are playing for keeps. This is not a warm up competion, we are in the real thing. Pre-season and Wizard Cup are the testing ground. You ensure that once the ball bounces in round 1, thats it, forward we charge, apart from injuries and suspension your "TOP" 22 make the grade each week. Excuses have been made for 70% of our side since the start and that is unacceptable. There is no prize for second to sixteenth in this comp so every step must be a winner.

I share the same sentiments as Lidge. That opening burst had us reeling...fortunately we didn't panic and got some score on the board before quarter time. The season is not over by any stretch of the imagination...all contending teams have plenty of work to do. Equation is simple....win 6 from 7 and you guys are back in.
