Lara now got out.

3/218

West Indies require another 68 runs with 7 wickets and 52 balls remaining

Powell, Chanderpaul, Smith, Bravo, Jacobs all to come.

So they should win from here. A lot of power coming in Smith, Powelland Bravo with Chanderpaul.

And win the West Indies did.

3/286, to win with five balls to spare.

Gayle 132*, Powell 33* (off 22 balls).

Gough's second last over went for 16, which put the result beyond doubt.

NZ v WI final.

Wondeful win by the Windies.

After having England at 3/50, they would have shattered to let them score 285.

Was enjoyable seeing Gayle smack the Poms all over the place, especially given how arrogant they were during the break (the English commentators, and crowd).

Love watching Gayle bat, despite him being technically flawed and a flat track bully.

Towards the end of England's innings on around 35th to the 50th over, it's some of the most brutal batting I've ever seen while being some of the worst bowling...

Flintoff was hitting sixes at will, front leg outta the way and just swing, I'd hate to be the ball.

This Andrew Strauss... where has he come from?! So much poise, and a cover drive to die for.

England were pathetic on the field, Strauss didn't even get a hand on a Gayle chance early on, they choked, had like a million run out chances and kept screwing them up.

They dropped at least 4 catches in the first 15 overs.

imagine finishing lower than the west indies. and it's been a long while since i've bagged english cricket. i thought they were moving in the right direction.

that said, it is only one day cricket.

The fielding really is their downfall. Dropped catches aside, they are immobile in the field.

Good comeback from the Windies, wickets in hand made the difference.
