Did anybody watch those two shows on ESPN?

How disgusting was it!!!! Eeww the people would have vomit all over their hands while eating the hot dogs, and they would keep going!

Did anyone also see the boy which fainted at the spelling bee? Then got up, and suddenly knew how to spell the word!

Freaky stuff.

I saw a great spectator sport on ESPN: Gary Kasparov vs Deep Junior in the latest Man vs Machine chess match! Riveting viewing ;)

Thanks to Optus TV, ESPN won't be seen on my TV from tomorrow, which is both a good thing and a bad thing.

Blame Disney for making everyone disoriented when u stumble in after a mid-week drink session, flick on the telly, flip around channels, then watch maths comps and spelling on ESPN.

I wonder how much pressure parents put on kids to win those things (i havent seen Spellbound, that 2003 doco on spelling bees), do the kids take crystal meth to help em through the night? lines of speed, prozac?

I watched the maths competition the otherday. I found it hilarious. I am in year 11 and i do Maths Methods so i am pretty good at maths but these kids are like 10 and can answer questions faster than i can read them, not that if i read them i would be able to answer them anyways.

I also found it funny how ESPN referred to them as 'Mathletes' lmao

ESPN is the worst sports channel.

What time was the hot dog show on? They had black jack on the other night.

I got a laugh out of the hot dog competition.

Also did anyone see the Mini golf competition they were about 11-14 it was pretty serious stuff. then they showed the men playing for skins and some guy has earned over 100 thousand dollars just for playing mini golf.

ESPN's always been a bit off the wall, sometimes to my enjoyment and sometimes not.

I could really do without the yachting and water skiing and lumberjack contests. Or women's professional bowling.

Not all bad though. When I was very young, I remember ESPN showing something called Australian Rules Football on late at night. We had no idea what it was, but boy did we love it! I have them partly to thank for discovering footy.

I did a uni assignment where we had to construct a sporting faciliity. I based mine around the (fictional) World Mini-Golf Championships to be held in Melbourne in 2007.

the hotdog thing is very weird considering he's about 30 better than the next best in the world - chances of him keeling over in his 30's? very high!
