I don't think I'm alone here when I say I thought he was close to **** house yesterday. I think a week or two in the VFL team will wake him up. Remember how bad he played against the dogs last year?

Was hardly on the ground. Didn't have that many opportunities. Although i sure hope that he manages to recapture last years form. We are really missing his drive and his goalkicking.

A week in the VFL might do him some good. Just to get his mind focused. It would be better for the club to do this sooner rather than later. He is just not finding the ball now. Send him back, let him get his hands on the leather, and have him prime and motivated for the remainder of the season.

Yeah, Scotty is struggling this year. He is not holding his marks or finding the goals as he did last year and he seems to get caught alot. I thought he began to turn things around against Adelaide a couple of weeks back when he banged through a couple of long bombs from outside fifty.

He works hard and I don't think his best form is very far away. Limited game time Saturday night didn't help his cause, but with Hirdy possibly sidelined for next week's clash he'll probably get another run.;)

Lucas is definitely a player who needs to be on the park to find form, he'll never be any good run off the bench.

What I can't believe I've heard all this year is the people who think we should trade him, I mean he kicked 57 goals last year, how many of those grow on trees? Geeeez!

Adrian, a run in the magoos may just be what he needs, it certainly seems to have worked over at Nth with Grant. And with the two's hitting some form it may just give him the confidence he needs.

P.S caught you in the tipping comp! Just a pity I haven't gone with the same tips as I did at work, I'd only be 1 behind :(

I've had a shocking 2 weeks Dave. I'm plummeted to the depths of despair with only 8 from 16 matches ;) Preparing myself for a strong run home!! :D

Re: Lucas...yes he is a confidence player, and with your VFL side playing well, one or two matches will do him some good. He 'could' stay in the side, but with some more players coming back in the coming weeks, i think the club can afford dropping him.

I say leave him in the side. He's just another (occasionally) classy tall player that the opposition needs to look after. And he's just as likely to come out and kick 5 next week.....

Totally agree with gPhonque.Lucas has changed his game this year, more defensive.Burnt the dogs in the early game last season, burnt them.Hard to get a kick from the bench.

Played Scotty.Alot of people refer to the tackle the dwarf put on him last year,I would like to refer to the way he has killed the dogs over the years, killed them at optus at waverley and at colonial in the early game last year.

He is going OK. He does a lot of hard work and he isnt getting as noticed as in the past. On TV they are calling him the new 'blue-collar' Lucas. He may not take the marks in the packs, but he always provides a contest and brings the ball down.

Also, what people fail to realise is that he takes a key defender each week.

He will be in the team for the rest of the year, bar injury.

Well Scotty must have read this, played a fantastic game last night. Maybe I should bag more players each week. Although everyone played good last night, even Lalich.
